My baby is getting really big and needs a new car seat. I have read and heard lots of good things about the Britax brand car seats....but I'm just having a hard time figuring out what one to buy. So if any of you have had one or have one please tell me your thoughts on them.
I'm thinking of getting the Marathon.....or the Roundabout.
Thanks!!!

I read this on Consumer digest about the Marathon:
"Two other seats had problems that were less serious. The Britax Marathon convertible seat and the Combi Tyro infant seat tilted back on impact more than the federal standard allows. But those car seats didn't break loose in our tests."

I don't know if my response is appropriate because I live in Canada and you are in the US. Not sure if the manufacturer or standards are the same. Anyway, I sell Britax carseats at my part time job (only the Marathon). Here in Canada they are rated the highest for safety. The foam and materials that they use are high quality. They also have side impact bars. I have never had any complaints about them or had any come back. Ohh and the patterns they come in.... so cute, lol Not sure if this is helpful but thought I would give my 2 cents! Good Luck Beth p.s You also need to look at how an individual carseat fits to your carseat because alternative fits (ex pool noodles, rolled up towels) shouldn't be used to "make" something fit. I don't have children and have never used any products i am just going on what product knowledge I have been given.

Yes! My 2 1/2 year old loves it. It seems to be very comfortable for her - she sleeps in it often. We got it for her at 11 months.
The only problem we had was with sun-rot on the back of the seat cover. A tiny hole was being burned/baked into it. (We don't have tinted windows.) Make sure you save the receipt and any papers associated with it. Britax was great - we called them and told them about the sun rot and they sent us a new cover for free. They could do it because we had registered it with them and we had the receipt still.
No other problems or complaints!
