My new haircut and a few other pictures

So I cut my hair 2 weeks and am just now getting around to posting and found a few other pictures on the camera since then that I thought I'd share too.
So the haircut is quite a change but I'm definitely growing to like it alot. I had been growing it out to donate to Locks for Love (I did it 2 years ago too) and since my friend was diagnosed with leukemia last year and lost all her hair I remembered how special it was to know that somewhere I was giving a girl the chance to feel better about herself during such a hard time. So it was my little Christmas present to someone somewhere. It's the least I can do right?
So the before....with my cute pup
And then AFTER
At first I was feeling that it was a bit too short and makes me feel 12 instead of 21 but it's just hair and it grows back, and I actually find myself liking it alot more even though now I have to blow dry it all the time instead of just being to leave it all curly. Oh well
Then a few other photos...
Here come Santa Claus (and not a very happy one)
Christmas morning for the past 3 years(since I've had IBS I guess) it has now become tradition to make Heather's Baked Blueberry Pecan French Toast for breakfast. If you haven't made it you must - it is sooo good and always a hit with the family. Mmmm I want some now just looking at it. And it has a yummy brown sugar topping and a recipe for blueberry maple syrup...yum yum yum!
And then a couple photos to warm all you chilly northerners up. Last week we thought it'd be fun to go on the little sunset cruise out in the bay here. It makes me realize why I love living here. (Also where the picture of me with my new haircut is from)
So that's it for now. Hope everyone is having a great start to the new year!

Love the hair Brittany, I think it looks really sophisticated. It's funny I always think I look younger when I get my hair short but I think it's actually the opposite. In that pic with you in the sunglasses on the boat I think you look Parisian chic!

I think you're right about the short/long thing. Though there's got to be a style to it and not just on length all around because I used to do that when I was younger and it definitely made my look younger - but this is different since there's some layers and that always-have-hair-in-your-face bang thing going on.
And I look Parisian chic?! That's terrific!! I'm definitely liking that idea.

And what an adorable little dog. He's a Yorkie, yes?
The water pix look nice, but, uh.... ummm..... there are alligators in them waters? OMG! I'm scared of them things! YIKES!!!!! Thankfully all we have in our waters up here are killer whales.

Thanks Bev! And yes my dog is a yorkie. She is definitely a cutie.
As for the gators, we definitely have them but not in that water - that's the bay from the Gulf of Mexico and there aren't gators or crocs in that, but there are sharks Still a bit scary but there are dolphins and manatees and turtles too and those are all cute

Thanks Michele! I'm glad it doesn't make me look too young..though in a few years I'll probably be wishing for that to be the case. Now the puppy is the one that needs the haircut...lol.

Thanks! I always liked cutting my hair too. Something about being able to make changes is always appealing. It's addicting. I got addicted to piercing my ears but you can only go so far with that and I'm not into putting holes anywhere else.

I love your new haircut! I'm surprised you thought it made you look younger... I think you look older and more mature, in a good way! Thanks fo sharing all your great photos. I admit it... I'm jealous of the nice weather there.

oh man.. I was addicted to piercing my ears too as a kid.
I had one set when I was 5 months old second set when I was 8 yrs old and then four in one ear by the time I was 13..
hahaha.. luckily I stopped there.. but i've always been a girly girl and loved jewlery, clothes, dressing up etc. Even at 8yrs old I knew the importance of accessorizing (haha which is how I persuaded my mom to let me get more holes). haha i've definitly settled down since then. NOw I step in the door and all I want are my sweatpants!

Thanks Kree! I meant to post about your haircut and tell you I liked your new 'do too I guess it's haircut season. It's funny how much someone's hair can change how they look isn't it?
Well I'll think of you in the warm weather if you'll throw a snowball at someone for me

Thanks Ruchie! Wow anytime I feel down I should just get compliments from you !! You're too nice.
As for the french toast...lol no I didn't go to chef school even though I've seriously thought about it. I love to bake and I am quite a perfectionist to the point of being seriously anal sometimes...so the "random" scatterings of blueberries were done with "random" planning and care. You should definitely make it if you haven't. French bread is the key ingredient and I think you said you can eat that so you're good to go!

I have 4 holes in each of my ears too. I don't know how it ever got to be that way but I loved doing it.
I am the accessory queen too. And I'm always making new things-it creates a dangerous amount of pins and and jewelry and belts and such. And I'm so with you on the sweatpant thing. My signature style is my black yoga pants with the foldover waistband, a polo shirt, and a jean jacket - generally jazzed up with a pin or a funky necklace too. Of all the clothes I own I always seem to want to wear the same few things..funny how that works.

LOL...well I am not good at lying...so when I say something I meant it!!!
You SHOULD go to chef school if you love it as much as you are good at doing it! What is your internship for? Sorry for the bad memory...
Y'know...I think will make french toast! Honestly...I can skip the "faux milk" and just use water.
It's not AS much fun without the honey....but at least it's a change of pace.
Def. something to consider! :-)
How are things with you in general? If they're as good as that hair cut looks...you're all set !
