My husband and I are having some of our friends over. We are going to play poker and drink the night away ( I will proably be kicking myself in the butt tomorrow for drinking so much alcohol, but it's once a year). Hopefully 2006 will be a happy and healthy new year for all of us. Have fun and Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!!!

same thing I do every year! go to a party, order a lot of chinese food and booze it up! I'm sleeping over though... I'd hate to hit the roads on New Years Eve Night.

We're going to the movies to see the Producers, then out for dinner or dessert someplace casual. We'll be home by 10 or 11.

I hope your night gets better. I like Ashely's idea of some Chinese or someother takeout.

Home with my bf Mac and my roommate Kevin (his girlfriend, our other roommate, is at her parents' house in FL for the holidays still), but we're having over two friends (my best girlfriend and her fiance). Planning on watching movies and the ball drop. They'll have champagne and I'll have a homemade juice spritzer to toast in the new year (Trader Joe's Triple Berry juice and some plain seltzer, since all the sparkling stuff was sold out when we were grocery shopping earlier this week.)

We've cleaned our home from top to bottom! It's been over 6 hours of it now, and we're almost done. Just have to put everything back on the shelves and run the dishes!! Hmmm, the dog looks a little stank too...

My husband and I took our kids and the dogs to the deer lease and went fishing! We caught a bunch of fish but threw them back. One of the dogs fell in the lake! It was loads of fun...we came home got cleaned up and will probably be asleep by 9:30 or so ourselves.

Happy New Year Everyone!

And I don't mind at all... I've literally gone out and done something *once* on NYE my entire life, so it's more of a tradition for me to just stay home and do nothing. After the craziness around Christmas, it's a pretty welcome tradition, too.

I'll probably knit, maybe we'll watch movies, I might even manage to stay up till midnight. LOL

ever feel like everyone in your life is insane? my dad is having like a nervous breakdown, my mom is insane...more on that later...mike's being freaking moody...he went to his car to listen to the giants and raiders' game, then said he was going to sleep after that. not wanting to watch a movie he wanted to watch earlier. he's being a little freaking baby. my dad swore he was dying today, becuase he stopped taking his blood pressure meds becuase he's found god now...and his blood pressure was 220/107 or something like that. and said not to call the ambulance, and that he was just going to die tonight...my mom keeps calling my dad syaing that there is stuff wrong with me...that i'm need to be broke of my behavioral problems (i'm 25) i'm just losing my mind tonight. so i guess my daughter and i will just have fun....forget the rest of the freaking idiots....

i'm really sick of all this drama, and everyone being freaking crazy

Well, we are having one of those years when nobody has made plans until the last minute so now we have 3 options. I don't really mind what we do, I don't really make a big deal about New Years, but I feel like I should be social.
Option 1 is going to my sister's to have some drinks (well, not for me but for everyone else), which would be a good option except that my brother in law has been really horrible to me lately and I don't feel like putting myself through a night of someone criticizing me all night.
Option 2 is a party at a friend's house, which may get out of control. We are worried about that one as people may have drugs there, and that is very bad for Adrian as he is trying to get into the police and being around drug use is a big part of the lie detector he has to go through.
Option 3 is going to a girl's house who I WAS friends with years ago, and only met up with last night to watch movies, eat pizza (not I, said the fish) and drink (again, not I).

I am feeling really tired and am in sweats, but as it is almost 7:30pm, I guess I had better get up, make a decision, get ready and go.

Happy New Year's Everybody!

Cheers,
--Steph
