Well, I said something that I shouldn't have today and my boss overheard. I am embarrassed although what I said was true. Now he is upset with me and and I am not sure what is going to happen. We have had some conflict between us before of him "accusing" me of having an affair with a guy here whom I am just friends with. Meanwhile, it is ok for him to have a photo up in his office of a girl who works here...even though he is married with 2 kids. IT is gross...but now I am scared that he is going to confront me and I am not good at handling that. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know what you said...but let me tell you, I am the queen of foot in my mouth.

If you know 100% without a doubt that he overheard you then I would go into his office and confront the situation. Tell him you shouldn't have been gossiping about issues like this, but that you truly feel the way he overheard.

If there is a chance that he may not have heard you, I would let him come to....if you did nothing wrong you really don't have to explain yourself...sometimes it's just easier though then sweating for hours about it.
