What's your dog called? We should get a separate picture slot for pets. My family's got a Springer Spaniel that I adore!

They are Border Collies and we love them to death! Buddy is a classic sook and would lie on your lap all day. Tessa is a real working dog personality and tries to round everyone up. She's always on the go.

It's funny the dogs are two different personalities altogether yet they're the best of friends. We can't separate even to be bathed!

My Springer was a working dog, so he had bags of energy when he was younger and used to run off for hours. We'd get calls from people who'd caught him miles from where we were (my parents live in the New Forest, so there's a LOT of space for dogs!)!

He's chilled out now he's 13 and he's a bit senile, but that just makes him cuter!

Heather - give us a pets page!

My pride and joys. I convinced my husband to get one dog 3 1/2 years ago. Before we could get "him" neutered what was dangling retreated and "she" went into heat. I know, I know I have heard it all. Of course the first dog my husband and I get together is a genetic anomally. Anyway, she gave birth to 7 puppies and we kept 2 of them. They are wonderful.

Ours are 2 golden retreiver brothers. We planned on getting just one, but they were the last two of the litter and we couldn't leave one behind. Nugget picked me and Comanche picked my husband. I agree....they are so different yet so alike. Nugget is a light cream color and Comanche is Red. Although both are loveable....Nugget is more "laid back" and Comanche is more serious. They turned a year old in July and we have had them for a year this past September. I always wanted a golden retreiver....now we have two! I do have to admit....they have been a test of patience (sp?) at times, but it's been worth it. We also have ducks and geese. Of which we have a few named....Reeses, Pieces, Baby Ruth, Penguin, Lenny, Holly, and two chickens named Molly and Eda Mae. We are in the process of selling the ducks and geese.

Mulligan and Bitsy ("Little Bit") new

My two beagles look like Mutt and Jeff. They are total opposites in size and personality. Both came from a beagle rescue. Mulligan's was named by my husband and son, the golfers. They thought that was appropriate for a dog that we were giving a second chance to. (mulligan means "to do over" in golf). He is a tricolor beagle, as laid back a couch potato as they come, and weighs 34 lbs. Little Bit (we were only going to foster her for the rescue until they found an appropriate home for her) stole our hearts when we'd find her curled up with her canine brother at night. She's feisty, tiny (only 14 lbs.) and prisses around the house with her butt up in the air like she owns the place! My husband calls her "Shrimp" because she's so little.
She is so tiny that she ducks and walks under Mulligan's legs. When they beg for a treat, Mulligan's tail wops her in the face. You should see the look we get----like "Make him stop that." Flop, flop, flop, the tail will go in her face! For some reason, she can't figure out that if she wouldn't stand right behind him, she wouldn't get hit in the face! They are too darling together. If I've had a bad day, they definitely make me laugh.

So Sorry I missed your post before ! The dog in my picture is my four week old puppy Mayah...she is a mastiff/ridgeback mix. She is such a sweet puppy...although her energy is spiking and I anticipate the terrible twos coming on . . Today she goes in to be spayed, the vet wants to do it now at 4 months because she has had some mild infections that should clear up after the spaying.
I also have a 92lb. Newfie/lab mix for the puppy to chew on .

I am going to try and find a picture of the three of us to put here, seems we are hard to see all together.
Thanks for asking about her, I love dog talk!
