Ok so I know that not everyone will appreciate this but hubby went to his work party last night and I had Noah with me while battling the flu. Well we were doing bath time and we have his little potty sitting there. He always says "mama I got to potty" and then will sit there and not go and say "all done". I haven't pushed the issue because he is just going to be two. Well he did the same thing again first before the bath, but then after bath when I had dried him off he said "mama potty" So I sat him on his little potty and he said "all done again" without going. Well I told him try again and he looked and me and then started to pee in the potty!!! I was so excited I felt like I should be taking a picture of something!! LOL He wasn't real fazed by it and I am sure this will be hit or miss thing but it brightnened my evening up! Just had to share!!

I understand how amazing that is! Maybe he'd got into a subconscious habit of saying "All done" not having gone and you just broke the routine?
Either way, it's a big milestone for your cutie-pie!
On a related subject I had to leave Archie in the car for 3 hours today and he held off going to the loo! Normally if he needs to go he'll need to go NOW but he held out for all that time and was then running out the back door to the garden as soon as we got in the front door! Yay! No messed up car.

wow congrats!!
I actually potty trained myself at 21 months.
My mom said I wasn't a fan of "sitting in it." (ie wearing my diaper for long).
she came into the bathroom one day to find me sitting on the pot!

That's awesome. I know, it's the small things that are HUGE, sometimes. I remember that my Grandmother (early childhood caregiver/ parental substitute) potty trained me. It didn't take very long, as she gave me candy for every connection made/success. However, my Grandfather worked in a candy factory, so...there was no shortage.
But, it's one of THOSE MOMENTS! Thanks for sharing. I love those magical, once in a lifetime, had to be there moments. Hmmm...maybe a bathroom sticker chart for every HIT vs. MISS?
Kate.

That is exciting, Angela!! My coworkers twins are over 3 and still not potty trained. You have a very advanced little boy there....Not to mention a cutie pie too.

As you know, I had a TERRIBLE time potty training Liam. It took over 2 1/2 YEARS!!!!!!!!! (We never pushed him, but it was always there). Don't push him - it won't work at all. Praise him and doin' the pee dance with you girlfriend!!! PS - there's a Caillou book called "Potty Time" that's always a good potty time read.
