I'm not really familiar with endo or vestibulitis. If this is causing the pain and spasms, can I do something to help you? That could be a good thing if they found out the reason for your cramps.

I hope you can come to some peace and resolution with all this. Please keep us updated and know that I am praying for you, sweetie.

Jen, I LOVE your sense of humor! You're right; Jack would have been a good option.

I was born with testicles where most women have ovaries. Like all females born with my condition ("AIS"), I had to have my testicles removed (they become cancerous if they remain inside the body). However, once removed, I was thrown into a VIOLENT menopause; it was absolutely HORRIBLE. I was inconsolable, crying non-stop for no reason, and become suicidal at one point.

I do not believe "forced menopause" occurs unless the ovaries -- BOTH of them -- are surgically removed. That would be my concern. No, the HRT did not put me in a menopausal state, not at all; like I said, I've been on it for 48 years now. Actually, they had to "up" my dose after my surgery, then when that didn't help, they put me on testosterone, then progesterone, then the patch, then the shots -- OY!

NOTHING WORKED! I had to just ride it out. When I came very close to throwing myself down the stairs, I went to the doc, who put me on Prozac and sent me to U.C.S.F. Medical Center for some serious help.

Don't be afraid of HRT; I'm proof that it works. If it wasn't for HRT, I'd be a male. And I'm not kidding.

Bet that Jack sounds pretty good right about now, eh?

Bev

Hey Jen,

That is really rough, you are definitely going through a hard time right now and have every right to throw a big Pity Party any time you need one!
I agree with what Nelly said about at least having a diagnosis, though. At least you have a starting off point, so that's awesome. Like, when I have to go for tests I'm always like, ".. eh .." not impressed 'cause I know it won't show anything. If they could say, "ooh! found something!" that would be something.. well, depending on what they find!

Anyway, I don't really know much about endo and I don't even know what vestibulitis is! But I really hope that now that they have discovered these things, they can start treating it and give you at least some relief.

I'm glad you managed a little food/retail therapy and are feeling better now. I happen to have seen posters of girls in lacy "sexy" tops and "boy bottoms" so I think that would be fine. And sweatpants! Sure thing with lacy tops. And for $3, I'd wear them with everything!
Well, even though I can handle Cool Whip, I'd be pretty ill if I had brownies so well done on the cheating!

Good luck with everything, and let us know how things are going!

Cheers,
--Steph
