As a web blog addict (reading not writing) I just had a quick look at your blog and was not that surprised to see ... your rats are identical to mine!!!!!
My brown one is also the most greedy, the white one is really laid back.
I'm also extremely jealous of your speed in kniting pressies. This year me and Tara are making needlepoint xmas stockings for her little niece and nephew, which we have designed ourselves. Mine is full of ginger haired angels and stars (Tilly is a little red head!). Great fun but 5 months later and I have no where near finished it - arrggh!!
Hope you, Adam and all the animals are doing OK and that the money sitution improves - I can relate there (don't even mention christmas).
Take care and happy knitting!

Goodness, you read way back on that thing... I was trying to figure out when the heck I'd posted pictures of the rats last, heh. That's TOO funny that we have identical rats!! There goes that whole parallel universe thing again.
My white one (Gwen) has started up this funny little habit: she hoards treat food (popcorn, cereal, etc) in a corner of the cage. Lew still just digs in and starts eating right away, but I'm not sure if that still makes her the greedy one or not!
Present-making goes quickly when you pick small projects. I can't even imagine the time it would take me to do a needlepoint stocking. I'd probably still be working on it 3 seasons from now. Heh. So I gotta say, I totally admire your ambition... and you designed them yourselves, to boot. I always say this, but I want to see pictures when they're done!
And yeah, I know what you mean about Christmas... that's why everyone is getting small handmade things. We're saving what little money we have to get cheap toys for the nieces and nephews.
Hope you, Tara, and your little zoo are all doing well. Happy stitching!
