I spent most of the afternoon with my mom and we just "window shopped", had lunch and then took a drive up the mountain to see the fall colors. Was a beautiful day. I could get used to having days off.

Glad you had a restful day. I wanted to reply to your earlier post but time was my enemy.

I could really relate to what you said though about guilt over time to yourself and things you should be "getting done".

I try to compromise with myself in that situation and say well I'll spend the morning cleaning, washing etc but the afternoon is mine. Or I'll take Mum shopping in the morning but will come home and spend the afternoon doing something for me.

Everyone needs time to themselves and I find if I trade off with myself that way then I can usually avoid the guilt.
