has changed because I deleted some cookies and can't remember what I'd chosen as a password. Anyhow,
My classroom is 12 kids big, and half of them are gone in the afternoon. They all have pretty low IQ's-that's why they're in my class. Planning shouldn't be too hard, and they're all amazing sweet kids.

It's going to last till about Christmas. The kids are grade 4+5-basically 10+11. Very fun!
I'm already getting going on the bulletin boards etc, LOL!

Woohoo! Congrats, that's so exciting! So is your class a self contained 12:1 classroom? I'm so happy for you. I'm sure you'll really make a difference in those kids' lives. And what a great age group to work with.

No, it's actually a 1:4 classroom(as opposed to 1:12) because I have two EA's who are wonderful and will help me out a ton. I'm so blessed. But with this gorup of kids, you really need all the help you can get-they just do not function at a normal level.

Congratulations Proud New Teacher aka Not SO Sore Anymore!

Glad to hear it is going well, I start my training on Wed oct 5th for my TA job, and that lasts a week, then I am back in the classroom! I am not too worried about the kids, I got to meet them all , and they all seem so darling, I am not even concerned with what classroom I wind up in (even though I htink the director was eyeing my up for the problem kids, cause she knows I have worked with them before heehee)

Hopefully they will be impressed with you (how couldn't they be?) and offer you another job or atleast keep you on file til something else comes around.
