Thanks Shell for indulging me! and Nelly, Tina and Ashley for encouraging me!
All is going great, 19 days to go! I have been up to my eyes with planning so haven't been around here much but here's my update.
Last weekend I had my hen party weekend (bachelorette) 14 of us girla went to Clonakily in West Cork, a beautiful part of the world, went out for dinner and drinks on Friday night and spent Saturday afternoon in a spa. Pure bliss.
The girls dressed me up in a tiara, two boas and gave me baby pink wings, and a wand. They gave me a goody bag with chocolates, books, a kama sutra (!) and other nice bits and pieces.
This weekend we met the hotel where we are having out reception www.riversideparkhotel.com They were so accommodating and really helpful.
So here's our planned day:
1.30 pm - Wedding Mass in Duncannon Church, Co. Wexford
4pm- Drinks Reception (Champagne, tea, coffee) and blues music in the hotel
6.30pm- Dinner This is our menu: Starter: Chicken and bacon salad OR seafood cakes with coriander mayo
Soup: Concannon & Chive
Main: Roast Sirloin of Beef in Red Wine jus OR parcels of plaice stuff with crab and shrimp mousseline
with mashed potato, gratin potato, ratatouille and green beans
Dessert: Carmel and Raspberry Parfait OR Apple and Blackberry Crumble
....yummy!
After Dinner: Speeches by Dad, P's Dad, P and I and then the highlight, the bestman's speech
From 9.30- Music by http://www.theshakes.ie Our evening guest will arrive around 9pm.
10.45- Afters food- sandwiches, cocktail sausages, chicken drumsticks.
From 12pm- Disco with DJ
2.30 DJ end
3.30 Bar closes
then Residents Bar
Saturday night we are going back to my home village for a night out and Sunday we are flying out on honeymoon at 7pm, from Dublin so will leave my home village about midday to get us to the airport in plenty of time.
What else do ya want to know Ashley and I will be more than happy to oblige with ALL the details! Don't be shy now, I love talking about it all!

oh my gosh that sounds awesome! the food sounds amazing.. are you just gonna stock up on immodium that day or what?!?
are you having a wedding cake on top of all that food.
oh and another thing.. how in the world do you people party for that long. Our weddings here definilty don't go 15 hours!! although it would be fun if they did..
hmm more indulging.. how's the hair and makeup gonna be for you and the bridesmaids?

the food should work out OK for me, the seafood cakes are safe for me, and so is the fish, I will probably cheat with dessert but crumble is pretty safe for me...as for the champagne....
Our cake is three layers of round cake covered in white chocolate fingers, one layer is lemon cake and the other two are chocolate cake with baileys and white chocolate filling...yummy! Will post a pic when I see one.
The girls are wearing their hair in a low bun at the napes of their necks and we have purple crystal sticks to put in the buns. My hair is TBC probably half up but can't decide between loose curls and straight hair
Makeup we are trying to keep bronzed but natural, trying to convince a makeup artist who I had a great trial with to come to my house on the morning but she isn't returning my calls and its a 30 minute drive so she may not be interested, the more local girl gave me a very 80s look which was NOT my thing. We will all be getting "spraypainted" too ie spray on fake tan
That's all I can think of, you've seen the dresses and shoes. I got the girls' shoes late last week, they are crazy high but really match their dresses perfectly and they love them
I never answered you on flowers the last post, I have a pic of my bouquet somewhere so will post it, we are have mostly ivory roses and lots of dark green foliage, but also having some lavender roses for the girls' bouquets and the corsages.
More later!
