Hey everyone...we are back and still in total vegetable state!! LOL I will post LOTS of pics....I will keep adding them to this thread and will tell you about them as I go...so stay tune...
Friday we drove in...got there just in time for the wine & cheese gathering....(yes, I was naughty) 
Then we had to have one of the MANY cookies from the famous cookie jar on the front desk.... (fresh baked 24/7)
Then we had dinner in the upstairs dinning room it was a 5 course meal.... I had salmon & Shane had NY Steak... the dessert was a heavenly baked peach and the plate had "Happy Anniversary" written in Chocolate...yum!!

Sat morning we got up and had breakfast upstairs... buffet style... fruit, oatmeal, pork, & egg dishes (I did not have), fresh baked breads, muffins, scones.... all kinds of goodies... teas, coffee...etc...I had Heather's fennel teabags with me
We both had an hour massage....WOW!!  
Then we went into downtown Cannon Beach and walked into all the little shops...it was fun...and not too much had changed from the year before but there was some new stuff.... then we drove to Seaside about 10 miles away... played tourist there....and of course had to return with lots of salt water taffy (Jennifer Rose would love this)...you can get it online at www.seasidecandyman.com

OK... we made it back in time for wine & cheese again... (Shell got buzzed)...hehehe Then we went for a walk on the beach....
We do this every year in the sand.....
Here are some surfer girls....
And one of the couples on horse back... I'd love to do this.... but I was not ready right then and there...LOL

Sat dinner was at a place called JP's in Cannon Beach... it was a family run business.... the father was the Chef and you could see him cooking everything.... one of the Daughters was the Hostess, another was a Server and a Son was also a Server... it was a great experience.... I had a seafood dish that was cooked in white wine, olive oil, & garlic... had shrimp, crab, scallops, & pasta...it was sooo yummy... Shane had some BEEF...lol And dessert....OMG... I will try to explain it without drooling all over the keyboard!! 
Marrionberry cheesecake, between two layers of choc devilsfood cake, dipped into chocolate that made this thick shell around it... OMG... we had to take 1/2 of it back to the room...and never did finish it...
The weather had kind of changed and was really cold and we could hardley move since we were so full... lol So we got a DVD from the front desk....(and more cookies...LOL) We watched Miss Congeniality 2...very funny!!

Sunday morining... we ate upstairs again...
Then we went for a long long walk on the beach.....
Here is one of many dogs playing frisbee....
Here is Haystack Rock....yes...that is a rock!! See how small the people are at the bottom??

Here is that same rock on our walk back...you can now see the tide is coming in... so pretty!

OK.... about an hour before our picnic lunch on the beach we were just chillin out.... after these two pictures were taken, Shane dicided he wanted to go and get a skim board so he could play in the water....

Here is the Anniversary Package that Shane got... there was also a BIG red bow on the door in the hallway, and a bottle of wine....
That basket is full of bath goodies...that we get to use in the jacuzzi....

We did the last wine & cheese gathering of the trip... then went for another walk (cookies in hand..lol) Shane took one more pic of me....
Then we got dressed for dinner and had our picture taken... the Inn also keeps a copy of the picture and they are put into a photo album for all to see....we are now in 4 books!
We went out for dinner to a Greek resturant.... I had salmon & Shane had beef again...LOL
Then we came back and did a bonefire on the beach....it was so romantic!!
Then we came back to the room to find.... rose petals on the bed!!
We played with the rubber ducky in the jacuzzi to warm up and when we came out we wrapped up in the wonderful robes that were provided (we could bring them home for $150 each...lol) had the fire place going... and just enjoyed our last night together.
Monday morning... we had breakfast upstairs again....took a walk on the beach... grabbed a few more cookies...hehehe and then it was time to check out 
We had great weather for the ride home....so the top was down all the way....
What a WONDERFUL Anniversary trip!!

Okay my classmates are wondering why a puddle of drool just appeared in front of me. LOL Oh man that taffy looks good! Especially because I forgot to eat dinner before class tonight and am starving!
Beautiful pics, Shelley! Glad you and Shane had a nice relaxing and romantic trip. You guys needed it and deserved it!
And now you two are rested for Vegas.. where there will be no sleep!!! (says the person who always craps out early.. need that 7 hours of sleep.. LOL)
