i have a question....it seems about 2 or 3 days after i end my period i get a yeast infection....and i wasn't sure if it's my homones...or ph balance...then i thought maybe it's the tampons i'm using. i use O.B. which is actually the ones i really like to use...but does anyone think that could be the delema? i'm going to talk to my doctor about it when i see them next which will be wednesday...

has this happened to anyone of you.....or ever heard of it??

are you eating a lot of refined carbs/sugary stuff and vinegars etc? A yeast infection forms in an acidic environment...and the foods that cause an acidic environment in the body are those mentioned above (among others). I know I crave a lot of stodgy stuff and sugar before my period, so maybe if you do too, and are indulging...its not going to help :-(

i've actually heard that. i try to stay away from too sugery foods, but i had read that when you crave it, your body may be getting kinda crazy. i'd heard if you crave things like beer and stuff do it may be a sign that you shouldn't do it....i'd been eating ALOT of soy icecream...but i have to at the same time, because it's keeping the weight on me!! so it's almost a catch 22.....nothing else seemed to be keeping weight on...and my family was freaking out, i still weigh what i did before, but i guess i'm looking healthier

...with 2 T of vinegar and 1/3 cup of brown sugar! I didn't realize these were acidic foods. I suppose the pineapple and juice doesn't help either. But, it is so yummy.

No yeast problems, but I hope my tummy is okay with it.

there are plenty of ways to keep the weight on better...and not stress your pancreas with all the sugar (not to mention the link between sugary foods and more pms etc)...eat little and often and lots of it! rice...bread, nut butters, olive oil..whatever you can keep in and agrees with you. make sure you get lots of exercise because that will build muscle and also will make your appetite grow HUGE!! and then you will eat more!
