Aie! It's pretty pungent around here! She has me eating the stuff. I ate 4 or 5 cloves today, and a red onion and about 1 c. scallions.
Kate.

I'd be a fartbag! But dang, the stench is worth eating garlic! I love eating roasted garlic, when it's all mushy...I could seriously eat an entire clove(if that's an entire bulb...)

I take really potent enzymes and Nexium--no problem whatsoever. Raw onion is better on my tummy than cooked. Cooked onion gives me rude heartburn/gas. Also, lots of salad/celery helps cleanse it. I'm in "Eating for IBS" rebel mode, currently. I think I do like the nausea all this pungent stuff excites. I think the allum is thinning my blood, too. I ate a bunch of dill and a bunch of parsley and drank tons of "Tummy mint" tea. Uh, it does get me moving/running, though.
Kate, IBS-D.

I love garlic, but that's A LOT OF GARLIC! WHEW! Does the smell just ooze out of her pores? I'm not kidding--I was a big garlic eater "back in the day" and I swear my sweat smelled like garlic. (I had a friend who gently confirmed this. )
Don't even ask about "Volatile!" lol! Do not go there.
