I dearly miss my dearest friend that died of cancer this May. As the school year looms before us, I remember all the great ti mes she and I had teaching together. I can't imagine going back to the classroom without her (I'm not - I'm staying home to raise my babies). But my son was so right. I was crying - thinking about how much I miss her and he retorted "Mommy - you can't cry to get what you want" ( we always say this to him when he throws a tantrum). Take it for a 4 year old to give me a life lesson. I know I have to go on but it's so hard with a huge gap left in my life. I miss her so much!!!!!!!! I guess I just need a hug. Never take anyone for granted in your life. Life is too precious. God bless you all. (crying). You all mean so much to me. Thank you for being a part of my life. XOXO, Alicia.

but it's good to cry when you feel like it! I used to never cry and it wasn't good for me at all. Crying is better! But I'm so sorry it hurts. You're right - appreciate those we love, that's the lesson, and I'm sure she knew that you did. Hugs!!

Let it out, sweetie. It's hard. You lean on us as hard as you need to.

You son is right, crying won't bring her back but it does help to let it out! Big hugs!!

Sending you more hugs Alicia. The others are right...it won't bring her back but crying is very therapeutic. I have a hard time letting it out, just going numb and holding it all in. But when I can cry, I feel sort of "cleansed" afterwards.

Awww Alicia!
Thanks for being part of hte boards and part of MY life.
That son of yours sounds like a cutie, I am sure that he will appreciate the story when he is older.
I am gonna echo everyone else and say that it is ok to cry and let it out sometimes, and DOES help, as much as we hate to admit it.
