I am new to the board and was just curious if there is a chat room for IBS? Don't get me wrong I love the msg board, but thought maybe a chat room would be a lot of help to people who need help quickly and don't want to wait for replies to their posts or they could do both, post and chat. Also I thought a chat room would be a good place for people to get to know each other if they so wished. Just a thought. I have looked here to find a chat room link but I am either not looking in the right place or there isn't one tied to this site.
Any info would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and Hello to all!

Hi there,
Unfortunately, there is no chat room for this board so you won't be able to find a link!
I have never looked for one elsewhere, but with the massive amounts of chat rooms out there, I assume there must be at least one IBS chat room... but I'm afraid I can't point you in the right direction on this one.
Maybe someone else can be more helpful??

Sure you won't always get a reply...but if it was a chat room if there was no-one there you couldn't even post! And this way everyone sees what you write so everyone who might be able to help can chip in.

I agree with you there. I really think msg boards are a far
better tool than a chat room just for the fact that you can
go back in the msg board archives and get tons of info. And you can post anytime of the day or night and usually get a reply soon after. Where as chat rooms you are limited to when other people are there or times they set for chat.
The reason I had asked is because other sites I have been
too sometimes have a chat room with their site and or the
members have started one on their own. So again I was just
curious.. not meaning to down play this site. I can understand how running a chat room with this site would be
a lot of work and not as beneficial.

Thanks for your reply. I have actually just checked the one
out that another member sent me. And it is only available 2 nights a week. I might check it out if I actually remember lol or I am not doing anything at the same time they meet.
That's the problem with chat rooms as Linz stated. The msg boards are a better tool by far.
Thanks again for replying. It's nice to join a group and have people care enough to make you feel welcome. I will say this.. I really wish I would have found this site 2 yrs ago. But hey, I have found it now.. so better late than never. I have so much info here to go through.. Still reading Heathers bio and then on to the diet. Then on to the msg board archives. Not sure how long this will all take but I am motivated to learn as much as I can here.

Cos I know quite a lot of us on the boards do and we've swapped addresses etc, so when we're online we're all usually logged on to msn too so if there was something you wanted to ask there and then you can be having a proper conversation, Ive chatted with dalia, stephie, loads of people and sometimes its nice if you want to have a proper chat....my emails in my profile if you decide to download msn its free if u havent already got it. Just a thought xx
