You're so lucky! A paid trip!! London is great, my fave thing there that as an american you have to see is the British Portrait Gallery where you can tour this whole section on the War of the Colonies (yes, the Revolutionary War!), where all the pictures are of the brave boys in red. Nice bit of history from the other side!
