So are there the same side effects with a patch as the oral type? Maybe I should look into that.

So it wnet away after a while? I've been on it for 3 months. I wonder if it will even out or just keep increasing.

Thanks. That picture was when I weighed about 110, now I'm 125. I don't want to hit 130 as I'm only 5' 3".

Ooh! I'm going to blame the pudge on my middle as pill related too! Fun! (We'll see what happens when I go off of it though... but until then!)

The side effects are the same, more or less - it's still hormonal birth control. But it's lower-estrogen than a lot of the pills, or at least the one I'm on, so it's possible that it'll affect you differently than a higher-estrogen form.

I should also point out that you CAN get low-estrogen pills... another option that might help with the weight thing. Honestly, I just like the patch better because I only have to think about it once a week - I'm good at forgetting to take my pills, or dropping the cussed things instead of taking them - and I don't have to worry if I have a bad D month.

I just want to say that Tina, in my eyes, is the most beautiful girl I know. I love everything about her. That's all I have to say about this post!

Glad I could help! LOL What I meant of course is that I always gained weight evenly-distributed; even when I was 100lbs heavier I still had a well-proportioned "hourglass" figure. Suddenly having a waist that measures almost the same as my bust is really freaking weird. But we'll see if going back to the patch helps it any... I could just be getting old. *shrug*

...that you gained weight on the pill!

I know, I know... not funny! But you ARE a sweetie of a guy. I'm so glad you and Tina found each other.

Oh, I know Casey... I've just been feeling chubby lately and it's more fun to blame it on the pill than my umm... extra bad food choices. I didn't mean to demean people who are actually having problems with this...
