I got into a car accident. It was my fault, I admit it. It was a total accident at the same time. I feel awful about it. I really do. I was backing the people I work for's HUGE Toyota Sequoia and I hit their grandmother's camry. Basically, she came and parked where I turn the Sequoia around... I didn't see it because the Sequoia has a HUGE blind spot and it situated so high that you can't even see cars behind you. I turn around that way for that specific reason.. I don't want to pull out into the street without seeing the cars behind me. I could hurt myself or the kids I am driving. Luckily, no one was in either car and I was going SOOOO slow.. I mean you can't exactly drive fast when trying to make an manuever like that. There is a lot of damage to their grandmom's car eventhough I was driving really slow. The sequoia is just so big that it hit it with the bumper and with the way newer cars crumple, that happened. Well I got screamed at and screamed at by their grandmother. Non stop... for over an hour. Mind you, I feel awful about it and told her I would pay for it. I will pay for it... it was my fault.. an accident but still my fault and I recognize it.

I went to pick the child up and didn't tell her what happened because there was no reason to upset her. She found out anyway, of course, and was upset about it, of course. She understood it was an accident. As soon as I brought the poor kid home, their grandmother was screaming at me AGAIN. Telling me you WILL pay for it and that i am not a stupid kid, I am a young woman who should not be making these mistakes. I talked to their dad who was surprisingly calm about it, although, I know I will catch it later. I got to hear their grandmother tell him that I am irresponsible and how could they let this unsafe driver drive her grandchildren. This REALLY pissed me off. This is why I am hiding in the sunroom. If I go out there I will let it fly and it will not be good.

When I drive those kids I am so careful it is rediculous. I leave extra early and drive no more than 5 miles above the speed limit..ever. I don't run yellows. I get yelled at by my kids because I drive too slow and their mom drives faster. I piss every driver behind me off because I am so darn careful. The reason I even crashed into this woman's car was that I make that turn to be sure I don't pull into a moving car on the street. If I did, my kids in the backseat would be the ones that got hurt, NOT ME.

I am really upset because this seriously hurts my chance of returning to Ship in the fall. Any and all money that I have saved or will have saved will go to repairing these cars. My parents may have to help as well, and so I will be tapping them out. I don't want my parents to help because I was the one that was stupid.

I am not hurt, no one is. I am sick as a dog and really REALLY want to go home. I am stuck here for a while.

Oh sweetie, it WAS an accident and that grandmother is an awful person for making such a fuss about it!! Please try not to let her upset you.

I guess the no-fault insurance rules are different from state to state. In Mi, even if it IS your fault, you don't have to pay the person you hit. I guess thats why its called no-fault. I'm sorry this happened and I hope it all works out ok. Big hugs!

Well the best part was that she was purposely upsetting me BEFORE I had pick up her beloved Granddaughter. It's like lets make it worse! I was absolutely nuts in my head when I had to drive to pick the girls up. Why in G-d's name would you make it a thousand times worse when you know this allegedly unsafe driver now has to go get your grandkid? I felt like the adult in this situation... I Wasn't freaking out. I was mature and said I would handle it.. and I will. Even if it means not going to college next semester, it WILL be handled. I didn't resort to yelling or screaming.. and she did.. which really made me lose all respect. I know she was angry.. and thus I have to give some leeway there, but SHEESH. I only apologized a thousand times and promised it would be taken care of...

I was insured to drive their cars last year. I am not sure whether they insured me this summer. I am insured to drive my car, however. Who knows what will happen? I know it has to be paid for. Luckily no major lawsuits should be able to take place because no one was injured.. or at least I would think...

Well I'd check your insurance. Over here, if you have fully comp insurance, you are usually insured third=party on other cars. And if you were you could claim on your insurance!
