Hey S-S! 
Thanks for asking!!! She's completed her radiation treatment and had an appointment this week to check and make sure the breast cancer hadn't come back. No sign of it returning so far!!! We're all really happy about it, and she's adjusting to life as a normal person again.
Well, to tell the truth I wouldn't exactly call her normal...! She called me to tell me she was hosting some chinese students, and I go to her house and find an 11 and 12-year old boy in her care!!  I'm like, "Uh, mom? How long do you have these people with you? And when were you going to tell me someone had handed over their children to you??" Seems she answered an ad in the paper for a host family and a couple days later someone just dropped them off. 
I introduced them to my dog and they went nuts over him. I learned the Chinese word for dog, "Gou" and the word for wolf too: "Lang"-- seems they weren't convinced he wasn't some sort of a wolf-dog.
How are you doing, Tina? Planning any more trips to the US??

Oh GREAT! I thought of her when Steph told us her mom has cancer. I hope she pulls through but it sounds like she is. YAY!!!
Your mom's funny.  
I am going to be in NYC September 3-12. I booked the flight last week. I'm excited. I'm great. Happy as a clam.

All riiiiiight!! Sept is a great month for NYC! I know you're going to have a great time! It's so easy to come back when we have people who love us, don't you think??

She was diagnosed in September, but she'd known since August she had an orange-sized lump in her left breast. She went through surgery and radiation like a trouper; she didn't even mind when they tattooed her!
At the mo she shows no sign of it coming back. Fingers crossed!
