I just read through some of your posts. Thank you all so much for your concern. I've been given a day pass from the hospital and get to spend the day at home. Need to have bloodwork done on Monday and if all is clear, I should be home for good by Wednesday or Thursday.
Just in case you missed all the excitement - I've been diagnosed with bipolar on top of OCD. Hopefully now I can finally get on the right meds. I feel way better than I did a week ago. I'll let you know when I'm home for good. Your care and support means so much to me.
Tons of love and hugs to my amazing IBS family,
Alicia.

Hi Alicia,

So nice to hear from you I'm really glad that you're feeling better and that you will hopefully be home for good soon...that's great!

Do you mind if I ask you how you found being in the hospital? (I assume you're in London...maybe not?). I just ask because it's looking like a possibility for me and it really scares me

Anyways, take really good care of yourself, enjoy your day today and look forward to "seeing" you again in here soon!

Kelly

Best wishes, Alicia in getting your moods balanced and adjusting to the medication. I'm bipolar, too, AND OCD, and have nasty GAD. I don't know what to say other than, "I know"
(to some degree) and HUGS and if you ever want to shoot the **** about it or just have someone listen, e-note me. I hope you're not too nauseated or too tired.

Truly,
Kate, IBS-D.

ALWAYS take your meds for these... the tendency is to THINK you are OK now and don't need them, then it comes back. It's a wicked thing... I went thru it with a friend years back, and she finally knows she has to STAY on the meds, forever. Think of them as life-giving nutrients or something... hang in there, girl!

I'm so relieved to know you are doing better. I hate to hear that you have been diagnosed with bipolar, but I'm glad you have gotten treatment and are on your way to recovery! I know your kids will be glad to have their mother home.

As you probably know, I have bp too, so if you have any questions, please let me know and maybe I can answer them. I have tried a lot of the meds. If nothing else, I can be here to support you because I understand completely what you are going through. Even your post last week sounded eerily familiar to me---it sounded exactly what I went through about 6 years ago when I was diagnosed with it.

I have been praying for you, and I will continue to do so. I hope you are home soon and are feeling much better!
