HI everyone!!! Yes it is true! I am pregnant!!!! I have been quiet about it for the past few weeks because I am cautious ever since I had my first miscarriage. But I am 7weeks along and today I got to see the heartbeat!!!! I have been having some spotting but nothing major. The doctor wasn't too concerned. I have had horrible D though the past few weeks. The total opposite of what I had with Noah. I am usually C! I am sorry I have been so silent about this but I really wanted to see a heartbeat before I said anything. My estimated due date is March 2. I am very excited and just pray that all continues to go well!!!!

Thanks Shell!! I love that picture! It is too cute! Can I tell you a funny story? I had a dream that my husband and I met you and Shane last night. We came over your house for dinner. It was a great time and good meeting!! So when's dinner?? I was on the boards last night and I think your hair post was the last I read before I went to sleep!!

Believe me I was except I was still in shock since I had such wacky periods these past few months that I didn't think I was pregnant. I never did a pregnancy test. The doctor sent me to get blood work done instead. We figured out that this new baby was a 30th b-day gift!!

Thanks BL! Noah will be 2 in January so they will be about 26 months apart! Which is what I wanted. But then again talk to me next year at this time when I have an infant and a toddler running around!!! No that's what I wanted. How far apart are your boys??

Thanks Cara!! Yeah I am pretty excited. Ideally yeah I would love to have a girl, but really all I want is a healthy baby. I figure I can't go wrong with a boy since I will have the clothes I will need and I know how all the plumbing works now!!! How have you been feeling? Knock on wood I haven't had any MS but I had horrible D the past few weeks. Right now I have that achy stretchy feeling so I know the baby is growing!!

How wonderful! Congrats! No need to justify keeping your secret. My SIL had a late miscarriage, and during her next pregnancy I was sworn to secrecy (even from my parents) for 4 months! It was agony! I would tell my stuffed animals every night that she was pregnant, just so I could say it outloud! Well, congrats again and God Bless. Wonderful news!

I'm doing a lot better....still VERY tired a lot, and nausous at night, but no more puking! THANK GOD.
I had D EVERY morning for the first 8 weeks. Then I was C for 23 days....then my puking started at week 12. LOVELY What a journey...now I have D again, but about every other day. I'd give ANYTHING for D on those C days...so I am not complaining!
I heard/saw the HB at 6 weeks, 2 days...now I have my 2nd sonogram tommorrow!! (Well, my 3rd if you count the one I cheated with for my pancreas - hehe).
He's going through a major growth spurt right now, every day I'm bigger...so I'll have to post another pic in a couple weeks!

I've been measuring my tummy on my own with a tape measure, from belly button, around back to belly button, and I've grown almost a full inch in the last week! I can't believe how fast this is happening! I'm gonna be a house pretty soon...

Scary isn't it??
It's fun, but watching your waist expand is a little disturbing too....lol.
Why can't we be like elephants and carry a baby for a few weeks and then deliver...haha. (I made up the 'few weeks' - but I know they don't carry babies very long at all before giving birth).
Although, now that I think about what I just said...a few weeks would be VERY hectic and scary - LOL! Maybe 40 weeks is good....

Cara! You've got it backwards!!
Info on elephant gestation: "If copulation is successful, then the pregnancy lasts for around 22 months.
This is one of the longest gestation periods in the animal kingdom. (The blue whale, for example, has a gestation period of around 1 year.)"

So how long do Panda's have for gestation? The baby one born in DC is so tiny... I can't imagine that it's much longer than just a couple of months.

You will have your hands full! It's exhausting to have two little ones, but you will have so much fun with them.
My boys are only 13 months apart, which was hard. I think it was worse than having twins, because at least twins would've been at the same stage at the same time. It was hard juggling 2 schedules at once. One would go down for a nap, and the other one would just be waking up! I was so exhausted! By the time my husband walked in the door, I was so ready to hand the boys over to him. I felt like the boys were permanently attached to me! I'd have to peel them off of me! Ha!
We have photos of me nursing the youngest and playing "horsey" with the 13-month-old (bouncing him up and down on my foot) at the same time. Crazy, but I had to keep both of them happy, didn't I?
I never would've survived without great friends/neighbors who were in the same situation. None of us had family in state, so we took turns watching each other's kids when we had to go somewhere, like to a doctor's appointment.
And I would've never made it without a double stroller---that I used until it literally fell apart.
Hopefully, you won't have 2 in diapers for very long, if any time. That will help to have Noah potty trained. And he's old enough to help a little with the baby. (my 13-month-old used to bring me diapers for his brother!) At least he can keep his sibling entertained!!
And they will have a great time together. I never had to schedule a play date for them. They always had someone to play with.
When I see a mother with only one baby, it looks so EASY to me. I never really got much time alone with my first one. I only remember having 2 babies!
Oh, those were the days! I can't believe they will both be in college next year. Boo-hoo!

Oh, yeah, that makes a lot more sense. Frankly it would kind of scare me if an elephant could pop out a baby elephant in a few weeks- as big as those things are.
