I am glued to the tv too for it....in fact I'll even watch the whole 2 hours - last weeks episode and this weeks - lol...even though I've already seen it.
I think Michael will win, he hasn't made anyone mad at him, he's so cool and collected.

We didn't watch the 2nd hour yet cause we had to go to bed (we have DVR), but my husband and I can't get enough of it. Can't BELIEVE Andrew lasted as long as he did, and I'm starting to think Ralph is kind of smarmy. (Is that a word?). We just think it's hilarious. My question is: after experiencing all that, why would they WANT that kind of job?!?!?

Last night WAS two hours.... did you miss the 2nd one?

I'm thinking either Micheal or Ralph... Michael has done great this whole time.... but Ralph is really good too! Jessica could not handle the pressure... she is too emotional... but then again maybe REAL resturant life is not as bad as working with or for Chef Ramsay?? And Elsie has already all but given up and WANTED to be voted off last night.

Same here. I love it. I was sooo hungry last night I would have eaten that lobster out of the garbage. That is the only problem with the show. I want to eat.
I think Michael will win, too. He has been quiet and sort of been "flying under the radar"

At first I was rooting for Ralph, but his snotty attitude is getting to me. He thinks he is the only one who knows anything. Sheesh!

No, of course I didn't miss the 2nd one!
I won't miss a minute of it...if I have to pee I hold it for commercials...lol. (I pee a lot)

And it makes me hungry too!

That was so weird how he just threw that lobster away...it almost looked like he did it on purpose, but I guess why would he do that....I felt bad for everyone calling him Fatty all the time! He didn't make fun of anyone! He was like a big teddy bear....I don't think he should have won, but I thought he was a nice guy. I would have exploded back at the Chef in the first episode...I'm not good at holding back how I feel - lol.

I was so mad last night at the way those a**holes treated Elsie. They were all so jealous of her for winning the challenge.
I think she handled herself well (and it seemed Chef thought so too) by not saying how they treated her when he asked if there was co-operation among the group. I guess her meltdown did her in. I was so glad when Chef said he was proud of her.

Ohhhh I agre with you soo much- I don't know how they put up with him. He is so demeaning.
My Hubby is addicted to it also.
I'm into it somewhat too I guess.
I lied Elise but I think she got kicked off last nite.
I was dozing and I thought as I was waking up I saw her going out the door.
I don't know who I think will win. It's a tough one if Elise is actually gone. I guess I would say Elise if she's still on.

I don't care if he's good at cooking!! He's just SO overconfident and high on himself, and just.....weasly!!! Did you see him throwing the dishes after he didn't win the challenge?? He CLEARLY didn't do what he was supposed to (use lots of ingredients), but he thought he was robbed. UGH I can't stand him!! I'm sad Elise is gone. She didn't have as much talent but was more tolerable as a person.

It was sad to see Elsie go...I mentioned to Shane... you just watch, since she won the challenge, she will be the one to go tonight... like last week. I was all teary when Chef R kept telling her how proud he was and kissed her cheeks...very cool!!

Michael WANTS IT BAD and in a good way.... I think he was "peer pressured" into NOT helping Elsie.....(thanks to Ralph)

Ralph is a pompous @$$!! Talking all that crap about Elsie behind her back and smiling and all friendly when she is right there! JERK!

Jessica...is trying so hard... but made me mad she turned her back on Elsie too!

Should be interesting next week.... Chef R is smiling in the preview when he asks for the jacket.... (I'm thinking maybe it will be one or both of the other Chef's that assist them, don't recall the names) IDEAS??

you think he will get rid of one of the sous chefs?!?! That would be crazy!!!
The preview did say something like "you'll never believe who gets kicked off next"...oh, now I'm dying for next week! That really is a great show. It's hilarious how Chef Ramsey (I almost forgot his name, I just think of him as "Chef", lol) is such a jerk in the kitchen and so nice and cool outside. I guess that's what it takes to be successful in his world. And I love how he treats his maitre'd guy....cracks me UP!!

I agree with what you both said.

You didn't know she had a girlfriend????? I guess it is because I grew up in a summer resort that has a very large gay population....Provincetown, Mass. I could tell first time I saw her.

If Raplh wins, I'll puke. In my mind, he's a liar. I loved how he said on all the other challenges, he held back, and for the souffle one, he REALLY went for it. WHATEVER!! He tried hard on every one and was totally bitter when he didn't win, and felt "robbed". He just rubs me the wrong way. He and Buffy can go back to their deli or whatever he owns. This show is great.

Come on people!! How could you not see that Jessica would have a girl friend. I think she said something about her once to. Anyway, I hope Micheal wins, I could never have someone like Ralph be my boss, I would laugh in his face if he tried yelling at me like chef R.

I read in an article in the paper last week about housing, and it said Seattle's housing is some of the most expensive in the country. I'm curious. How much is it there per square foot for a new house?

We are looking here to downsize and are getting very discouraged because we will have to pay a lot MORE for LESS. We looked 6 months ago and decided to wait until our son went off to college, and in the meantime, townhomes have gone up $30,000 to $50,000.

For my health (my back problems), I need to get out of this big house! But it seems crazy to have a higher mortgage for a smaller and not as nice a place.

I thought I was going to go nuts waiting for them to open the door. I didn't post last night because some of you are in different time zones and didn't want to ruin it for anyone. Michael was so smart to take a job with Chef and learn from him. After that he will be able to do anything.

Wasn't that GREAT? I was SO HAPPY! I was screaming at the tv most of the 2 hours. Especially when they were showing the dishes on the streets and Ralph had to go into detail about his for like 10 minutes before anyone would try it....drove me CRAZY!

And did you see him eskimo kiss his fiance?!?! LOL. I about peed from laughing.

Isn't it a gyp that they got out of giving him his own restaurant?! Dude, that must have been cheap!

I'd never go to work for chef Ramsey! Imagine, being offered your own place, then BAM! Nope, you're now a lackey for the devil!

Hmmm, indentured servitude, or my own place...?

Restaurants are notorius for failing. Michael isn't ready to handle it. BUT, the oportunity to learn from a world class chef is priceless. He will be able to do whatever he wants after that.

but I almost couldn't handle the suspense!! I LOVED when Ralph's dish lost on the street, no matter how slimey he got with people....and I LOVED how Michael had to practice yelling the night before!! What a great show that was! I almost had to look online to see who won (we watched it a few hours later on DVR) because I couldn't handle it!!
