We have great food these days!
Si's really chuffed. I think it's cool, the sailing will be fantastic but I don't want to travel in London with that many extra people!  The Tube system is totally naff.
Anyway, it'll be exciting.

So cool!! I wonder if it'll be easy to get tickets to events?? I had to go through friends to get tickets to the Barcelona olympics cos they sold so many to locals it was hard for the rest of us to get good seats!!
I hope I can make it there!! England's going to be a madhouse in 2012! Plus all the pre-olympics construction, yikes!

Well, I must say I was much more partial to my hometown getting the Olympics but if I had to lose to anyone, it would be our pals in the U.K. and not anyone else. That is as far as I will go as I do not want to offend anyone in the city/country that was supposed to win...

After 9/11.... I think they are being very cautious of where they hold the Olympics don't ya think? I would have been a nervous wreck if they would have chose NY for the next one.

I think it would have been fine here in NY. Our police force is top-notch and could handle it. We held the Republcan National Convention with no problems. I know the olympics would be a bigger event with more people but i know the city would have been fine. I say NYC2016!!

...no matter where it is held. Many European countries - like Greece - have active terroists working there atm...so actually, the States has far fewer terroism acts than Europe. Thank God the IRA's finally calmed down a bit.
