Could somebody please tell me why Walmart doesn't have baskets to put your items in? Every Walmart that I've been to just has carts and I rarely buy enough things to justify pushing a cart around an already CROWDED store. Just a minor rant, but enough that I generally go to Target instead. I am claustrophobic and crowded places really make me uncomfortable--I don't leave the house at Christmastime (not really) lol!

My guess is that if they only give you a cart, they think you will buy more stuff.
I try not to shop at Walmart, but that's just me!

Our Walmart here in PA has baskets. At least they did. I think Snorkie is right though. I still take a cart and manage to fill it. That darn Walmart! Get's me everytime!!!!

I'm so claustrophobic/agoraphobic/PHOBIC that I cannot remember the last time I've been near Walmart! I cannot recall the last time I was in a shopping mall. Seriously.
It's been years.

The problem is that they have so few of them, and they're almost always all gone when I go to shop (weekends, midday = bad time to shop ANYWHERE, but especially there).
I wish I had a choice - I greatly prefer Target. But alas, it's rare that I need something so badly that I'll go 80 miles out of my way for it, when there's a Wal-Mart so much closer.

I miss Target! I love Target...we have tons of Walmarts here so I'm getting used to them. We just a brand new SuperWalmart so now I live there because I get groceries there too. It's not as packed because it's so big. We have baskets, I've never had that problem...I would ask someone at your Walmart!

They do have baskets but 95% of the time they are all gone! One thing you can do is cruise up and down the end of the checkout lanes -- a lot of the time they'll have baskets sitting there that the employees have been too lazy to put back.
Wal-Mart also gets my vote for Most Disgusting Public Restrooms Ever.

I hate Walmart. I hate everything about it. I don't care how cheap it is. The only time I shop there is when I need something at 1 in the morning. Otherwise I'll go anywhere BUT Walmart.
