Several years ago, I looked down at my wedding ring and the diamong was gone! I called my husband in hysterics. He thought something had happened to one of the kids, because I was crying so hard that he couldn't understand me.
He told me look for it. Easier said than done. It was the Friday before the kids got out for the Christmas holidays and I had not only been washing, drying and folding clothes, but I had also wrapped tons of Christmas presents. I didn't even know where to begin to look. I looked in the washing machine, the dryer, and when I went in my bedroom, something caught my eye. I saw something on the floor under the bed and picked it up. It was the diamond, turned upside down, and I almost didn't realize that's what it was, since it was so dirty. I had to place it in my ring before I realized that's what it was! I had changed the sheets on the bed earlier that morning and I must have broken one of the prongs on my ring when I made the bed up. If I had vacummed under the bed, I would have lost it for good! I know I was extremely lucky, as was my Mother, who lost hers at a college basketball game and found it under her seat. I encourage everyone to have their rings checked at least once a year by a jeweler to see if the prongs are in good shape.

I will have to remember to do this.
Isn't it amazing how we get so hysterical over things like this....my husband was kinda upset but not overly.
I am glad to hear you found your diamond - you were extremely luck!
