I'm travelling O/S soon and am really worried that customs in the airports will see my acacia and think it's a drug. Has anyone else been picked up for taking acacia overseas? Any suggestions?? As I live in Australia, the doctors haven't heard of Acacia before and neither have our health care specialists!! As it isn't a prescription drug, I can't get my doctor to write a letter about it so I can take overseas...I'm travelling to America and then Europe in August. I just can't swap back to the other fibers, this fibre has absolutely changed my life.

I would definitely take it in its original package, and probably pack it in your checked baggage, not your carry-on. Make sure it is clearly labled. I honestly doubt you'll have any problems -- customs officials know what drugs look like and don't look like. But, I understand your concern. I've flown with my acacia between London and New York a million times and have never been stopped. Actually, you might want to do a search on this topic -- I think I remember it coming up before, but maybe not in the Livingroom.

I'm going to be dealing with this also....I am going to Italy in June, and I will definitely have to take my Acacia also. I heard that you should take it in its orginal package, and carry it on, as the other posts stated. I'm just afraid I'm going to have a rough time....a lot of people talk about how they have problems while traveling. Any body have any suggestions for not getting "stopped up"? I'll be gone for 12 days!
