FYI if you didn't know I lost a close friend to cancer this week. The funeral was so sad. The church was full to the rafters and there were people standing on the sides and at the back it was so full. The family seemed to be holding up OK. DH went with me to support me. She was only 43 years old - left 2 kids behind, 8 and 10 yrs old. Anyway, now I just feel numb. I can't believe she's gone. I keep wishing I had just one last chance to talk to her. I guess I just have to trust she knew what she meant to me. Thanks for all the support this week. I really needed it.

I know I haven't commented till now, but you've been in my thoughts just the same. I'm glad you were able to make it through today, and I'm very sorry for your loss. *big hugs*

Alicia,
I know it was difficult and very sad. When my cousin died it was the hardest funeral because she was so young. You are in my thoughts.
Hugs,

My thoughts are with you sweetie...I've been there and it's so horrible.

God looked around his garden, And He found an empty place. He then looked down upon this earth, And saw your tired face.
He put His arms around you And lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering He knew that you were in pain He knew that you would never Get well on Earth again.
He saw that the road was getting rough And the hills are hard to climb. So He closed your weary eyelids, And whispered "Peace be thine."
It broke our hearts to lose you But you didn't go alone For part of us went with you The day God called you home.
I'm not sure if you are a Christian, Alicia, but this poem has helped me get through some family deaths that happened too soon.
I hope you are feeling some peace by now. I wish I had been able to offer this gift to you sooner.
Love and hugs, sweetie

That's a beautiful poem. It's so wonderful to see you back! You just totally made my day! Yes, I am a Christian, so I know she's in a better place. The hard part is that she left two little children behind. It must be so very hard for them. Thank you so much for thinking of me. It was very comforting to read. Hugs, Alicia.
