I have severe osteoporosis. Can anyone tell me if I should see a Rhuemotologist or an Endocrinologist for treatment.
Can anyone who has received treatment for osteopororis by drugs or injections help me decide about who I should go see? I will probably need the shots since I cannot tolerate medications.

Do a search in here for "Fosamax." It's a wonder drug that has actually "cured" osteoporosis, and we've discussed it before in the Living Room.
My 80 year-old friend had osteoporosis, and her doctor (who diagnosed it) put her on Fosamax, which reversed the bone loss entirely.
When my internist did a bone density test on me and discovered I had significant bone loss, he too put me on Fosamax. I don't know how long I was on it, but the next time he did a bone density test on me, he was ecstatic; the results were phenomenal -- even my dentist noticed the difference in my TEETH! My internist then put me on 1,200mg. Calcium with Vitamin "D", which I've been taking ever since and will have to take for the rest of my life. No problem there!
You should be aware of the side effects. Foxamax can and DOES cause extreme cramping; it did for me, and that was before I came down with IBS. I was on one pill a day -- that was 22 years ago -- now I understand the normal dosage is 1 a week, so hopefully it wouldn't give you bad cramps except once a week, if then. Regardless, it's well worth the suffering in the long-run if it'll "cure" your osteoporosis as it did my elderly friend -- and me.
Good luck!

I am wondering what type of doctor would best be able to treat my condition. I've been told to go to a rhuemotologist by my OB and my psych told me to go to an endocrinologist. So, I am confused as to which doctor is best.
I am going to try to get the injection to prevent the nasty GI side effects, so I need a doctor who has access to the injectable meds and who can do this for me, not just write a prescription, if that makes sense.
I just can't take more cramps than I already have. Fosomax or Actonel would kill me.

I go to an endocronologist, but that is because my bones are slightly brittle because of a hormone problem I had as a child. Can you go to both???
