Do you journal, or just keep track mentally? Do you record times of BM's, pain, etc? Or just what you ate and if it went down good or bad?
For now I'm putting it in a spreadsheet that I use to track my weight. But I'd like a better system.

I just use one of those week at-a-glance calendars. I also use code in case someone's reading over my shoulder on the metro.

I used a spreadsheet for a while -- just set it up to fill in what I ate for each meal and what the ol gut was like during the day. Where I was on the computer researching/typing papers all the time it seemed like the best place to keep it.

I use my Weight Watcher's journal. WW had me in the habit of journaling even before IBS. You could also just keep a small memo tablet in your purse. I've done that before anyway.

Microsoft One Note. I heart it (this is not a paid endorsement, though Microsoft... if you're reading this...).

I record everything, food intake, BMs, feedback/notes/reactions...comments from my internal peanut gallery/sub/supra consciousness...whatever! I tick of BMs on my calender, but after four, I sometimes stop keeping score.
