It's been a week since my major med change and I'm still nauseous, jittery and generally weak feeling. I can hardly eat. I don't know if the jitters and weakness is from the lack of food or from the meds. I spent the whole Mother's day weekend flat on my back instead of celebrating. I spent it alone while my hubby took my kids to my Aunt's for celebrating. Sigh. This nausea has got to let up. It's like morning sickness times 10! Every time I sit up I want to gag!

My doc made me feel like I was weird for reacting so poorly to the stuff. I got MAJOR heartburn and I ended up taking myself off when he continued to tell me to keep trying it. *sigh*

Have you told your doc about the side effects? I def think you should. Maybe they will go away in time...but maybe he should switch you.

Like Dalia mentioned...can you try ginger? One day I had a horrid migraine and I took ginger tea and I smelled peppermint oil and even put a drop on my tongue. I also took peppermint tea. And it helped more than anythig else I'd tried! Also put a cool compress (wash cloth) on your head.

Ooooooh...nausea is the worst I hope you feel better soon.....

Sending you hugs and all you need for a nauseous/pain free day...

Love, Ruchie

hello ruchie doll
sorry i have been so crap...been so busy with exams and then have spent the last four days laid up with tonsilitis (we think...going to doc this afternoon) and constant fever...feel depressed and crappy. IBS up the creek because of the fever methinks. When will we stop being tortured? I have read your poetry and it is beautiful...you are such a wonderful soul and never forget it! We must get back in touch. I am sorry your camping trip fell through. Ok, energy dropping again....must lie down. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Ick, so sorry you are still feeling crappy. Have you asked the dr about an anti-nasuea med to get you through until your body adjusts? Hang in there! Lots of love and hugs!

I notified my med nurse who is in constant contact with my Doc. She said it's probably because of all the med changes. In addition to the Topamax being added, they dropped a med, doubled another, and cut another in half. So that's some major changes to be adjusting to. I'm expecting I should bounce back in another few days.
