Hello all. I am a new member. It is o.k. to eat fresh fruit before the meals? Thank you.

Welcome! You'll love it here. I'd post your question in the Eating for IBS forum. You'll probably get a better response.
I've found that fresh fruit is a trigger. Fruit is best digested (by me) in a smoothie on a tummy full of soluable fiber. Do you take a fiber supplement?

Hi there! Welcome to the board!
First off, you might want to post this in the Eating For IBS Diet forum...you'll get more responses there (the Living Room forum is for fun chatting non-IBS related, just so you know)
Bananas are great fresh...they have tons of soluble fiber. Strawberries and other seedy fruits are fine if you puree and de-seed them. Most fruits have a lot of insoluble, which is tough to digest for IBS folks. BUT we need insoluble fiber, so we puree fruits, sneak them into breads, a soluble fiber base, and add them to soups.
You may want to do a search for fruit and see what comes up. I hope this helps a little!
Welcome again, keep posting!
