Well, In my ongoing fertility saga, I've now come to a stand still! My cycles are text book 28 day cycles and my period is so reliable you could set your watch by it! I really think the last D&C I had in January really messed things up. Exactly 28 days after I started to have the miscarriage, 26 days after the D&C, I started to spot. I never had a full period but I spotted for THREE weeks straight. Well now my actualy period is 2.5 weeks late! I KNOW I'm not pregnant but my RE (reproductive endocronologist)made me have a blood test this am, just to be for sure. When the test comes back negative, she is going to call in a script for Provera. Its a hormone and will start my period. I have to take it for 10 days, even if my period comes before than.
My tummy hasn't been to well the last few weeks and I'm not thrilled about having to take hormones on top of everything else. But, I can't even try to get pregnant until after we do another month of testing and they can't start that testing until after I get my period!

... but just wanted to say that hopefully they can figure out what the heck your body is doing! You have more patience than anyone I know and I hope things get straightened out for you.

Thanks for the kind words Jennifer but I do believe my patience has about run out! I was ok with having to wait another month so we could do testing but now that my period has decided to skip town and I've been on HOLD indefinetly, I'm not doing so well. Mentally I feel a bit better today knowing that the Provera will get things going again but its just one more snag in what seems like an endless stream of snags! Who would have thought that having a baby would be so difficult! I mean I spent the first 33 years of my life trying NOT to get pregnant!

I can't even imagine how it feels. After hearing about everyone's fertility woes, it makes me realize that it isn't as easy as stopping your BC pills.
Hopefully your new doctor will discover what's going on.

Michelle. I haven't taken this before but I know what hormones do to my tummy! Big hugs. I'm sorry things seem to be stacking up against you at the moment and I'll be having my fingers crossed that things start to go right for you soon.

Oh sweetie I feel so badly for you. I haven't ever taken hormones for that but I am on estrogen. I had a hysterectomy in 03. The longing for having children and not getting them can be so frustrating. It took my sister several tries and several miscarriages. She took that drug and had no problems with it at all. She was desperate. I am assuming that you are also though. I will pray for you that one day you will be blessed with a happy and healthy baby of your own.
