Our youngest son found out today that he has been accepted to Clemson University! Not only that, but he has been conditionally accepted into its Professional Golf Management program. Last year, they only accepted 15 students into this program (only one student from our state.)
He is so excited! His grandfather and aunt are Clemson alumni, so he was hoping to continue the family tradition.
Also, he got a call from the golf coach at the US Naval Academy inviting him to come for a visit. He is walking on air right now. (He's also been accepted to the Univ of Tennessee and East Carolina University.)
I am so proud of him! Now, he has all of these choices. He will have a big decision to make soon.
Ahh, to be 18 years old and have your whole life ahead of you. I'm so envious!

Where have you been lately? Haven't heard from you in a long while. I know that little boy is keeping you busy. Yes, I am so proud of my boys. It is painful to let go of them (I want to cling to them forever), but seeing them mature is so awesome! They are developing into young men right before my eyes.
I sat next to a couple in church this morning that have 2 little boys. As I watched the boys, I had tears rolling down my face because it just seems like yesterday that mine were that little. I thought the mother would think I was crazy, but when I whispered to her that I have 2 boys, she gave me the look that only another mother could! After church, she asked about my boys---and I hope she knows how precious these moments are with her two little ones. Ahhh, to have those little hands wrapped around my neck again. Just to watch how those little boys looked at their mom like she was the most important person in the world. .... nothing is more precious!
Ok, I'm gonna cry again! But it's almost precious when they get that college application in the mail .....and you realize it is the culmination of 18 years of hard work. Now, if we can just pay for 2 in college!
