IS pain that wakes you up diuring the night and makes you unable to do anything cause youre caught with incredible abdominal pain an IBS syndrom or could it be something worse???

Hi Alain,

I'm sorry to hear it if you're in that much pain. IBS is something that a doctor needs to diagnose you with, after ruling out many other diseases that could incompass those symptoms. I would make an appointment as soon as you can. Hope you get help and feel better soon!

Hi Alain,
Technically IBS is not supposed to get bad enough to wake you up at night however I think a lot of people on the boards will disagree with this. I get woken up all the time and feel almost crippled from the pain but I have yet to be given a confirmed diagnoses after some more tests. See your doctor and see what he/she says. Good luck.
