Well, Rachel, we missed you!! Other than that, I had fun!! Heather, Angela and Amie all made pretty necklaces (well, so did Keena, Heathers daughter!!  ) It was nice to met in person and visit for a while! I can't wait until our next get together!!

I echo Michele's words. It was great to meet everyone and our necklaces are so cool. Michele was a very patient teacher! especially for me! Kenna is adorable with her big blue eyes and curly hair! She's also such a good girl. We ate good food and had great conversation. It was a little weird to finally be sitting in person with people I have talked with on the boards all these months. I think we all felt that at first, but then the conversation got rolling and everyone was comfortable.
I can't wait to meet again and do scrapbooking this time! I have more patience for that!

I thought I posted that earlier today.. but things have been zooey here at work... and I came home and crashed last night.

I'm so jealous that I didn't get to go, however, glad that I didn't try because I came down with a terrible cold and Saturday and yesterday were the worst days.    Maybe I'll try at your next meeting. Michele... I'd love to learn how to make those necklaces! How fun!

Yes he thought the necklaces were really cool. He thought it looked expensive! He also asked if there was any cake left over! I said I left some home for you. He said yeah i know I just thought you might have even more with you! Looks like I'll be making more!
As far as feeling good my hubby is not feeling good at all. I am also VERY stuffed up this morning. I think I have blown my nose 50 times already. Hope that I didn't sneeze to many germs you guys way!

Haha! I went to mapquest and got the amount of time... 12+ hours! YUCK! I'm only an hour from the Nebraska border, so I'm on the wrong side of Iowa to make it easy. Maybe we could meet up with Cara in Illinois somewhere... I think she'd be up for that too!
Come to think of it... Madison, WI... how far are you from there?? It's about 7 hours for me! I grew up there... so I could show you all around. It's a great town to visit!

Oh we decided to go to Columbus Ohio. We are going to stay near Easton which is a huge shopping area!  He's not totally thrilled with the shopping but he knows I want to go and this weekend is our only chance to go and have a babysitter available. I just hope we feel better!

Boy, I sure hope you guys feel better for your weekend away!!  I'm going to do some more looking on line for a place to go to. I think we would like a room with a hot tub!! Glad to hear he liked the necklace!! My hubby ate both of the pieces of cake I brought home last night!!! He asked why I haven't made that yet!! LOL!! It was really yummy!

WOW!! That is FAR!! Darned it!! Yeah, maybe Cara's would be a good place to meet. Maybe we could invade Caras house and make a weekend out of it!! Maybe if we did it in the spring, we could help Cara with her Garden during the day and we could make jewelry in the evening!!

Rachel- My husband uncle lives near Madison and it took us 9 hours to get there! Not real close. I have never been to Chicago before. How close is that to you? I think it's about 5 hours from this area.

Chicago is a little over 8 hours for me... either way though, I guess I'll be driving a long distance. I did look up Madison to Detroit... it was a little less than 7 hours. How far from Detroit are you Angela?

Mmmmm, you know what i think he might have been a little further west of Madison now that I think about it. Because I am actually south of Detroit, so I should be closer than everyone else. Either way it looks like we will be driving some distance!

What Madison are you guys talking about?? I think its about 5 hours from my house to Chicago. Angela lives south of Detroit, I think pretty close to the Michigan border. I live just north of Detroit. Heather is right, smak dab between us!! I think it took both Angela and I 30 minutes to get to Heathers yesterday!

Peoria is basically a city in the middle of nowhere, IL. Right in the middle of IL. I love it here....it's not big like Chicago, but it's not little.
I'm about 2 hours south of Chicago..maybe a little bit more if there's heavy traffic!
Chores..yeah! You guys can come help with my non-existant garden, finish my basement, paint a room or 2, put up a fence, etc. WHAT FUN!

MEN!! I'm not so sure my hubby could take a room full of girls complaining about tummy aches either! Let them live with our tummies for a day and they would undestand!! Will thinks he is C if he doesn't poop by 9 am everyday!!

Michele that is so funny! Mark is the same way! If he hasn't gone twice in one day he thinks he's having a bad day too!! It used to irritate the you know what out of me when he would go into the bathroom and come out 3 miniutes later. I swear sometimes I could have read a novel before anything came out!! LOL

I just called Heather since I haven't seen her on the boards this morning and RIch stayed home from work because Heather woke up sick! Rich said she is stuffy and her throat is raspy and she hurts all over. Poor thing!!

I woke up with a rasp in my throat but don't really feel sick! I'm taking prescription pre-natals vitamins so hopefully they will help me fight "it" off!! I also did get a flu shot. Being sick right now is the LAST thing I need!!

I am so sick!!! BLLAAAA!! After Ipost this it is back to bed for me! I feel like i have cotton for a brain right now!

the weekend of the 20th...
thats about 4- 4.5 hours from here.. took me 45 minutes to get to Heather's.. I live a bit west of her... I was thinking you were far.. my daughter lives in springfield IL, and thats about halfway probably... but she comes here more then we go there..
I have a few other things going on in the next few months.. but if we find a house, get moved and settled and I have time off left, a long weekend somewhere might be fun!
