I MISS girl scout cookies! I haven't been able to eat them for FOREVER because of the milk products!
Darned. The thin mints were always sooooo good.
Dose anybody else have those chocolates, from school? With the cookie on the bottom, and chocolate piece on top? Or the caramel swirls? Or the mint ones? We used to sell them, in elementary school, and my gosh, those were amazing!

They would never last that long. I used to "convince" myself that I was buying "extras" to give to my girls. But my girls never seemed to get them. It always took too long between visits. And I am sure you know "Thin Mints cannot stay hidden". LOL

I could seriously sit down and eat the entire box, even though I'm pretty sure that would kill me. SO GOOD.
I can't eat them anymore at all. No more Samoas for me. *sniff*

Boy do I know that! I'm struggling to keep them away from my 6 year old. I've hidden them twice. He eats them like me. He could probably eat a whole sleeve of them in one sitting! I plan to freeze some this year to but like you said they may last me till maybe March...........

Thin mints. Love em. Used to mug girl scouts in my development when they were on deliveries (think halloween candy-taking). I think that's why now they're escorted by soccer moms now. The cookies made me do it. Gave me horrible D, tho. I won't give money to religious organizations, esp boy and girl scouts, so morals restrict me from buying them outright. But I'm first in line when I find them in the office kitchenette for general consumption.

Hey Nelly-
Girl Scouts are not a religious organization. I was a girl scout for a long time and worked for the scouts later in my life. The girl scouts welcome anybody of any race, religion, creed, or sexual orientation- as a scout, a troup leader, or an employee.
I don't like the cookies down here (different bakery than what I'm used to) but I always give the girls some money anyway.

...yeah, except if you don't believe in god they expell you for that. It might not mean that to you, but that qualifies for me as a religious institution. Sorry.
~nelly~I believe in rights for athiests, even though some don't

IBS does not like Girl Scout Cookies. Beth loves Somoas! Houston, we have a problem!
Oh, man, I am so jealous of you guys who can eat them. And I still don't get why IBS people are so different. Aren't these a nono with everyone with IBS?
I want a less severe case of this IBS crap! Can someone arrange that one for me. Not fair!

Hmm... maybe we've had radically different experiences, but I've never ever heard of the girl scouts having any problems with atheism at all. The girl and boy scouts are entirely different agencies. But, perhaps you've had personal experiences that are different than mine, or perhaps it differs from state to state!

hehe all this talking about girl scout cookies and none to be found here right now. Anyone want to send me some? would have to be expresspost and prob insured. Then again with our postal system they would probably still be stale by the time I got them!!! (ps I'm not serious about shipping them, but I do want some now!!)
