All I know is that my mom's side of the family (the Scottish side) are all the same way... we love the cold. But I did grow up in NY. I lived in Maryland/Virginia for a few years, and it seemed SO ungodly hot to me! Give me cold weather anyday - just don't put me anywhere where it's consistently hotter than 90, or I'll be very, very unhappy. LOL!
But seriously? There are 2 keys for staying warm: 1 - Dress in layers. A thermal shirt and a light sweater are inexplicably warmer than a heavy sweater. 2 - Forget pride and fashion! I have the ugliest boots you will EVER see, but they keep my feet warm, so who cares? I also wear a hat with earflaps and a parka that makes me look 50lbs bigger than I am, and in the worst of winter, I wear my pants a size too big so there's room to put thermals on under them if I go outside.
Those are my tips. Although probably my best one is to not go outside when it's really cold! LOL
*hugs*

Hey heather...glad you like the mint bars...I can get you more in the future and send you some if you like them....they are really strong arent they. I know it looks a funny color when you open it....theres two types the brown one and a white one....they both pretty much taste the same though....

Right now at 7:18pm, it is 75*. Very warm, I am sitting under a ceiling fan blowing full speed! I went out for a walk today wearing jeans and a sweat shirt, wishing I had on a t-shirt. It was warm, the sun was out and the sky was partly cloudy, mostly sunny. Tomorrow it is suppossed to start raining, and the cows are getting ready to start calving. They won't do a darned thing until the weather gets nasty, thats just how it is.
Wishing it was much cooler here, I love my flannel pj's!!
Stay warm ya'll. gayla
