Hello!
Well the exciting news is that we are picking up our new puppy on saterday. She is a little girl, 7 weeks old and a cross between a labrador, springer spaniel and a collie. She should be quite a handfull!
She looks like her mum, who is black with a white patch on her chest. She also has beautiul spaniel ears.
We are thinking of calling her either Meg, Lucy or Ellie, but we are in desperate need of suggestions. I would post some pictures, but I don't know how!
Anyway, if anyone ha any tips I would be really grateful as, despite reading about a million books, I am a bit nervous!!!
Thanks,
Catherine

Hi Catherine! Congrats on becoming a dog parent!! As for names, we always waited until we had the animal and picked the name that seemed right for them- they seemed to me like they came with names. Maybe you should wait until you pick her up and see which of those names best suits her?
How exciting to get a puppy!!

That was the plan - we are going to make a list and see what she looks like properly and what her personality suits.
It is very exciting. I have just found a local place that does puppy socialisation classes and I can't wait to take her when she is old enough.

Fun fun
I'm excited for you! But you do have a lot of work coming your way - :P Fun work though!
Do a search for my posts and for beaglelover's posts about puppies...she really helped me when I got our first puppy about 4 months ago!!
Good luck!

We actually thought of that as a potential name before choosing a puppy - but she is black with a bit of white - no freckles at all unfortunately.
She has got two white back paws though.

They say dogs hear two syllable names best. Guess they sound clearer when you yell them across the kitchen into the den where dear doggy is hiding from you and the mess it made...

That is interesting! I would name her Hoho. But maybe you don't have those there. I wouldn't name her cinder, gypsy, ginger and any other super common name. I hear dog names all the time since I am a meter reader and once in a while there are cute ones. My mind is blank right now and I can only remember Diva for a great dane I see sometimes and Rascal for a mut. oh and Juneau for a wolf/husky.

"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
