Sad Day - Don't worry nothing serious...

So today, January 12, 2005, my goatee and my face have parted ways. I shaved my beloved facial hair off today. The main reason is because I have several interviews lined up in the coming weeks. Wall Street is still an uptight place and facial hair is a no-no while you're interviewing. I am going to miss my goatee, but, the good thing is, oonce I get my new high paying job, I can grow it back!

Farewell to your facial hair Tommy At least you can grow it back quick if an emergency of the hair or face nature should arise. Good luck on your interviews and let us know how they go! I'm sure you'd do well with or without the goatee

I second (third?) the vote for a new picture. And good luck with the interviews!

Oh, it came out clear. The "problem" is that I can't actually post profile pictures - Heather can't give me admin rights, so I can't just *do* it. You can either email me your password, so I can do it, or you can follow my instructions in the email and add it to your profile yourself. That's all.

You look exactly like an old boyfriend of mine! It's very bizarre!
Honestly I like facial hair. My hubby has a mustache that he HATES and threatens to cut off but I tell him if he does I will kill him. I also tell him I'll get a boob reduction (I'm not huge but he'd miss them! ) I think either way you look great, however, since I'm partial to facial hair I have to say I liked the go tee I understand your reasoning though. Work is more important and like you said when you get rich and own your own company you can grow it back!

I like it!! You look much younger! My hubby is growing a rather long chin goatee, which I am NOT found of at all!! He shaves his head because he was loosing his hair anyways. He used to keep a small patch in the back long that we braided but it got to hard to maintain because he couldn't see to shave around it so I have to shave the back of his head. So, he traded that in for this chin thing I guess it looks ok on him, I just prefer a smooth face! Good luck on the interviews!!

You must be a LEO! That is such a Leo comment
And yes he was/is. I still see him every once in a while and that old feeling is still there. He by the way is a Leo and your comment sounded so much like him. I hope you aren't because that would just be too weird!

Anyway, it's FINALLY clearing up here in PA. We had one heck of a night though. I thought the siding was going to come off our house. It was scary. Creeks were flooded this morning when I took my boys to school. But the looks of it now, you can finally see sky that might turn a light shade of blue. I hope so cause I can't stand another rainy day .
The temp yesterday was around 60 something and it's supposed to drop to 30 by the end of the day...yuck! We were so being spoiled with the warm weather!

GET OUT!!!! You are an Aries????? I'm married to an Aries. They are great people! (Great babies to have too) My husband is the best husband in the world and always has been great from the day we met. He's never changed. He's very laid back, never gets jealous or mad at me (for long that is). I believe some day you too will make a great husband being an Aries and all AND to top it off a nice catholic boy right???? Good combination!

Yup, I am an Aries. And I am a good Catholic boy or at least I would like to think so. Thanks for the compliments Lisa. As for being a husband, I would like to think I would make a good one. NY City is a tough place to date in, I haven't met any girls who I would consider marrying. I thought I did but I guess I was wrong Seems like I have "nice giy syndrome." Not a lot of girls her elike nice guys...But, I haven't lost hope yet. I am still young...

And, yeah, it's good to be in a social position where anything you do is in style NO MATTER WHAT.

Well then you need to move! That's all there is to it What the heck kind of girls don't like nice guys??? You are right though NYC is probably a tough place to date in but aren't there so many to choose from being NYC and all????? I don't know.......I found my hubby in high school and stuck with him. I can't imagine what it must be like to be out "in the world" and trying to find the right one. I guess I'm lucky in that respect

We have some divorced friends who are in their 30's with small children that are trying to find another mate and MAN are they having trouble. It's tough out there being single. When you are "old" uh hem, like us, you don't want to be in the bar scene. I feel for them.

Oh well, fear not. There's a pot for every lid right? Your lid is out there somewhere!!!!!

Okay, I've been wanting to say this for quite some time and this is the perfect thread to finally post it.

I just want to say I think you are one of the nicest, compassionate, empathetic man I have met(well have'nt actually met but you know what I mean)! The advice you have given to others, the support and encouragement you add. You are a nice guy and I for one, think thats an awesome quality. I wish there were more men like you out there! The words of support you gave to Ravendark were great and the average joe shmoe off the street wouldn't have even taken the time to reach out to help a 16 year old girl feel better.

I just wanted to let you know that I really think you are a great guy. Any woman would be so lucky to get a "nice catholic boy" like you! I wish I could find me a nice guy period. Don't necessarily even need to be Catholic, just Christian! No bad boys for me!

Beth, that was one of the nicest things somebody has ever said about me. I appreciate you writing that. That really brought a smile to my face I just try and live my life the best way I can. I don't have it me to be mean to people or not want to help someone out. It saddened me to ready what Ravendark wrote because I was in a similar situation when I was her age. You never want to see someone so young give up on her dreams and I hope she doesn't.

But anyway, I am off mark here. I know you will find someone who will make you smile from ear to ear when you just mention his name. I think we'll both be ok. Hey, if you ever visit NY, I'll give you the grand tour! Thanks agin for the nice compliments

I meant every word of it. Actually, had to go back and do some editing as my spelling was atrocious! (I'm a bit of a perfectionist). Probably just spelled some more words incorrectly! I think I wrote that post on the same day I was trying to send Casey an email and ended up sending her back her own email to me not once but twice. Some days are just rough!

And I accept your offer on the sightseeing tour. My brother lives in Conneticut, but refused to take me to NY (no offense all you NYers), because he doesn't like the city. So we went to Rhode Island and Boston instead. Boston, I fell in love with! This was years ago that I was out east. Sounds like NY is the place to be from all the people on the boards! We should all just move NY! "IBSers overtake New York"!

Anyhow, don't be getting a big ole head now that you've gotten two people telling you how great you are! Even though it's true.

As far as me finding someone, if it happens, great. That would make me very happy. But on the otherhand, as my mom and some friends have said, better alone than with someone who treats you badly and is a major "butthead".
