Hey everyone!
Well, I'm home first because I live in Manhattan (lucky me), whereas everyone is currently making there journeys back home! We had such a lovely evening - it was such a pleasure to meet the people behind the typing! Unforunately Tommy couldn't come because he wasn't feeling well...we were sad about that...but Nelly and Sheri and her boyfriend were there...and we had a lovely long chat about everything and anything. They are both beautiful ladies and I am so glad we met in person and look so forward to the next time - hopefully more of you will be able to make it then! I felt so mini though! Nelly us 5'11 and Sheri is 5'8!!!! Beautiful ladies...
It was really fun...we missed all of you that couldn't make it....
Thanks for a great evening!

So, HOW GREAT WAS THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!

THANK YOU to Dalia and Sheri, and of course to Chris for making it out there!! Poor Tommy caught a bug that laid him out completely and he texted a bunch of times earlier saying how sorry he was that he couldn't make it. Poor guy, can you imagine?? Of course being sick is never convenient!! Poor Tommy. We missed you!!

OK, I do also feel for poor Chris, who did a great job at not cringing every time "sloppy s***s" was mentioned…! What a trooper! I can't IMAGINE what our conversation must have sounded like to an outsider… Good boyfriend there, Sheri!!! Nelly approves!!

So it was almost 7 and I was way early, having been all shopped out (did you know that DKNY sells camisoles for $245?!). I have decided I could not afford to clothe myself if I lived in NY. So I was glad that Sheri and Chris made such good time from NJ! When they showed up we just got started talking and talking and talking. Then Dalia joined us, and the conversation totally did not stop until the waitress who had hopelessly abandoned us gabbing stealthily managed to slip us the check. In all I think we spent something like 2 ˝ hours there!

And I had just the best time sitting and talking with these 2 fantastic ladies. I only hope I was the least fraction as delightful, charismatic and animated as these great people were! What a fun time!! And we covered so many topics, it was like 17 threads going on simultaneously where we were all weighing in at a mile a minute! No topic was taboo, which is totally the way it should have been. I could totally see me doing this again!

Anyway, thanks to Tommy1976, Daliatree and Sheri01, and everybody else who wanted to be there!! Let's try this again sometime!!

Hey guys. I still feel awful. I feel awful physically and about missing Saturday night. I was not feeling well on Friday. I went out for a few drinks with some friends Friday night(nothing crazy, home by 9pm, in bed by 10pm)and woke up the next day feeling horrible. I was going to suck it up and come in (which I would have if it was just Nelly by herself)but i had no voice and just felt so cr@ppy. I feel terrible because I was so looking forward to meeting Nelly (what a sweetheart) Sheri, Chris and Dalia.

I am really sorry I missed a good time... Do you think we can plan something again sometime soon? DC or NY, doesn't matter to me...

That's for the play by play! It sounds like it was a lot of fun! A real success!

Did anyone happen to take any pics for us poor souls that couldn't make it? I hope so.

Glad you all had some great conversation. I wished I could have been part of it.

Sorry I haven't posted! I have been so busy and have this headache that won't go away!
Anyways, we had a blast! Nelly is so beautiful ,not as tall as I thought her to be, but then again, I am only a few inches shorter! Dalia is so tiny and pretty, and looked so cute all bundled up in her city winter wear.
it was so nice being in the city, and Chris and I love to go for long car rides, so it was a very nice way to spend the evening!
I wish I could have been alittle more outgoing, but I do get nervous and shy and tend to be alittle quiet on a first meeting. So, we will definately have to do it again, and get a little more rowdy!
Too bad Tommy couldn't come, and I wish others could've made it too! There will definately be a next time, or a summer east coast get together or something.

Well, thanks back to you Nelly, it was you and Tommy that got the ball rolling in the first place! Got your T/M, but cannot do it from my phone! I have one of those Nextels.
And about Chris, he is used to the potty talk now! Sometimes I throw it at him if he is annoying me, to get an effect. I know it is mean, but one time he was getting on my case for not wanting to buy a bag of celery for one stalk (to use in stuffing), saying "Oh, well I would just eat the rest as a snack and BLAH BLAH BLAH..." So I replied, "well, I would too, if it wouldn't give me massive explosive diarrhea to the point I might s@&t myself." That shut him up!
He actaully told me that it was nice to be around OTHER people with the same problem, it gave him even more of a persepective. (I guess as in proof that it is not in my head). About six months ago we sat around laughing one night saying that it is so funny how comfortable we are with each other and to what detail we can talk about IBS and poop. I mean, I don't tell him every little thing, but I tell him alot. I was really bad with it when we met, so there was no hiding it! I am also his gf #2 with IBS, she was a D, too. He said he is less annoyed by my getting sick, cause atleast Ido something about it and try to avoid it. He was intimidated by my starting the EFI diet at first, it took up so much of my free time and it just seemed odd to him, but now he understands better.
PHEW! I was rambling on quite a bit!
i am sure he will appreciate the Nelly stamp of approval! And he found you two gals very interesting, and said he wasn't actually bored sitting around listening to three girls gab it up! It's pay backs for all the times I have had to go do 'car stuff' and listen to that talk, I guess. We were going through rough times not all that long ago, but he is being so supportive and great lately... definately a keeper!

That is right about no topic being taboo! I like how you craftfully snuck in a couple of ... let's just say... odd ones.

$245 ??!!! Glad I didn't go shopping, I would have cried! isn't there a point where you are living in excess buying that stuff, even if you CAN afford it? I mean, donate to people who can't afford a five dollar shirt if you need to get rid of money that bad!!!!

Nelly and Dalia took a picture of us (well, Chris took it with their cameras). I, do not own a camera, and didn't have a disposable on hand That is the next toy on my list, a dig cam! But, it always seems like there is something that I *need* first!

You will be a part of it next time, SS!

It was better that you rested up since you were so ill, Tommy! We were gonna call you and coerce you into coming out, then let it go since we all know what it is like to be sick and not be able to get somewhere! Plus, Ididn't want to bring any NYC bugs back to Jersey J/K
Hope you are feeling better, and there will definately be a next time. Who would give up the opportunity to go to the city for the day/night?
And thanks for sending Nelly my number, I was surprised when she called, I was expecting a New Yorker guy, and I got this really sweet voice say, "Sheri? This is Nelly!"

Yup, that is how tall Dalia is, too! So petite! We all did tower over her, but we were sitting down most the time.
For some reason I pictured you taller than that, SS. i thought you to be around my height.

Thanks so much to Sheri and Dalia who were so kind to give me my first luna bars ever!!!!! They showed up with one smores bar each and I couldn't wait to try it!

I tried the smores one today and nibbled off about an inch and it was really good, and filling, yet later it felt like I hadn't eaten anything!? I'm going to have the rest of it for breakfast tomorrow, then maybe experiment on another flavor, maybe the minty one.

Anyway, thanks!!

hey everyone! been working all day everyday at an accessories trade show for my mil, so not up my street but gotta help...not choice! it was so much fun on sat night...so lovely to meet you both sheri and nelly (thank you so much for the lovely compliments on me) - you are both gorgeous! I ate the luna bar sheri on sunday and thought of you...so cute...nelly, did you like the luna bar or did it do something weird to you? :-)
I did infact feel very tiny on sat night! I mean, I am 5'3, which isn't THAT tiny...I am the tallest female in my entire family...but sheri and nelly are really rather tall!:-)
I really look forward to the next gettogether ladies and gentlemen..it was really great!

Yeah a little under average heightwise, but as my ex-girlfriend who was 5'9" used to say "We're all the same lying down." Pre-emptive apology, sorry if that offended anyone...

ugh, still feeling like crap... I hope i feel better soon...
