A month ago, I had laparoscopic surgery to remove my appendix. I should be back to normal by now, but instead have bloating, and VERY sore and tender intestines. Have been on the IBS diet for 5 days now but still feel very tender and sore. Has anyone ever experienced this?

First, welcome to the boards!
You may get more responses if you post this on the Eating board as the living room is more for non-ibs issues. More a place to hang out and talk about other things besides our stupid IBS! A place to escape and talk about other things in our lives!
I wish I could offer you some advice on your question, but luckily I have no experience with this procedure, thank the Lord! GL

Hi Samba,
I had an emergency appendectomy several years ago but it was done with regular surgery not laparoscopic. It took me 6 weeks to finally get rid of the pain and tenderness in my stomach. I don't think laparoscopic surgery should have that long of a recovery time but your insides are probably going to be tender after they were probing around in there.
I would suggest asking your doctor about it.
Good luck Barbie
