Hey Guys,
I already posted this on the Recipe board but I thought I might get an answer quicker here:

Hey Guys,
I'm hoping someone who's more baking savvy than I might be able to help me with this. I'm making these almond cookies for my family for Christmas, but I don't see them until Sunday and I have to bake them today. I'm wondering, how long do you think they would last? Should I keep them in the fridge or freeze them? If anyone could help I'd really appreciate it...I'm really dumb when it comes to this stuff. I'm following the recipe exactly (no IBS friendly substitutes) since it's not for me Here's a link to the recipe: http://www.favoritebrandrecipes.com/Recipes/695/1821001695.htm

Thanks guys!
Kelly

These sound a lot like the "snowball" cookies that my father makes every year at Christmas, and they seem to stay fresh for a really long time. I would probably take Amie's (kyricat's) advice over mine on this one, but I think they'll be fine without freezing or refrigeration - just be sure to store them in some sort of airtight container. If I know I'm going to be storing something like that, I put them in ziploc bags and roll all the air out before sealing them.

Good luck. If they really are anything like Dad's "snowballs", they'll be incredible!

Hi Kelly,

I sent you my recipe for almond crescents several months ago -- remember? (Mine don't have oatmeal in them though.) Anyway, I make them every year -- and have for the past 25 years! They keep for a long time OUT of the freezer; I wouldn't freeze them, just stick them in the fridge. They're so full of sugar, they're well preserved.

However, I gotta warn ya: these are so damn good, they won't last!

Enjoy.
