Struggling to Deal with some Bad News

I got a call last night informing me that my best friend's husband was involved in some kind of explosion in Iraq and was sent home to recover from his injuries. My best friend and her husband were in the same ARMY unit. She was allowed to escort him home, but now has to go back. Unfortunately, since I'm away at school, I won't be able to see her before she leaves. She still has 13 months left of her deployment. I was worried about her before, but after this, I'm terified that something will happen to her. I'm an ARMY brat myself (both of my parents served, and are now retired from service) so I'm used to worrying about loved ones who are in the service. But for some reason this news has really affected me, and I can't stop crying. I could really use a hug right now.

BIG HUG your way! So sorry to hear about your friend's husband. I know how hard it is to have people you care about in Iraq. My husband has two cousins over there. I really hope you get a chance to see her! Hang in there!

the important thing here is he is ok, adn obviously in good enough shape that they dont' consider her presence a requiremenr for his recovery to continue.... *HUG* I too know what it is to worry abotu family and friends in various military locations... I hope you at least got to talk to her while she was home!
