does anyone take pamine forte? my doc just gave me a prescription

I tried it and didn't love it. I take it occasionally if I eat something bad, and have pain hours later. It really knocked me out, so if you work or go to school I don't recommend it. That was the first rx my dr gave me, and then he gave me hyoscamine, which I like a lot better. Good luck with it, Panda

I heard it can really dry you out, making it difficult to swallow and talk. is this true? I have to go to dialysis so the sleepiness part will actually be a great help. Thanks for your responses.

My gastro gave me a variety of samples of antispasmodics, and though this one did make me dizzy it was also absolutely the most effective for me. I would get terrible terrible cramps that kept me up all night and made me wish for death, and this drug could stop those cramps. Whatever the side effects, I swear by it. The thing about IBS and drugs is that it's all trial and error- they're different for everybody. So hopefully you'll get results like me, but if not ask your doctor for a different kind of drug and try that one! And welcome to the boards!
