I am just getting started with scrapbooking and would love to have some one to help me out so I am all for the scrapbook Idea!!! You can bring something that would be great!!! I will have to think of something yummy that we can ALL eat!!! Can't wait!!!!

I was thinking focus for the group- we do some sort of take home craft and a safe meal.. and we can get together a few times in the future... if people aren't in for scrapbooking- you adn I can do that another time just us, and I can do cardmaking, or we could do both... they are both easy enough to do... and because I used to teach classes I am used to packing stuff up and being portable with supplies and having spares to share if it doesn't wind up at my place.. if it does, we have 2 spare 6' folding tables I can set up so everyone has workspace.

Ok, Heather posted a site that had the birthstone colors on it but I have many more colors than that!! I use only swarovski crystal and sterling silver. I wish I wasn't so imobile right now with this darned foot otherwise I would try to post a few pictures of what I typically make. I'll try to explain it best as I can. I usually pick one or two colors of crytal. Usually if I pick two colors its like Rose and light rose, garnet and rose, tanzanite and montana bascially two matching colors. I will either thread 3-5 crystals on a head pin so it drops down with small sterling silver daisy spacers between them. Or, if you don't want a dangle center piece, we can make it more choker style. Then for the necklace part, I usually will string 2 smaller and i bigger crystal together again with the daisy spacers between them. Then I will string about 14 small seed beads than the crystal then the seed beads until you reach the leangth you want it. I will bring some of my finished product so you can see examples. I think what I'll end up doing is bring my bead bags with me and just let you girls pick out your colors. Since there will only be 3-5 of us that won't be a problem. When doing bigger groups thats too much and its easier if I just pre-package. But, this way you can pick exactly what you want. I have a lot of crystal in stock right now but if you know for sure that your going to want a particular color, let me know and I'll do my best to have it!! Its kinda hard to explain exactly what I do but I really think you will like it!! The dr I work for is kind enough to let me sell it at the office and I do very well with it. I have also done shows at hairsalons and had a both at the town peddlar in livonia for a while. The only think you will need to bring are glasses if you need them because some of the seed beads are pretty tiny. I use a kind of wire to string them on, its very strong, we wont need to use needles or anything like that!! Everything is in portable bags and stuff so its pretty easy to tote around with me. Once we pick out the colors it doesn't take long at all the string them. I have several different types of clasps to pick from as well!!

sounds like fun Michelle... and ooh- hrm.. still torn between doing something purply for Holly and doing something emerald/green for myself! I love purple too, but I tend to wear emerald jewlery!

I have lots of purples and several different NEW colors of green also!! There is a tourmaline green thats beautiful!! Everytime I make one up, I sell it with a couple of days!! The greens and pinks are the most popular right now!
