most of the time when I make cake its heathers peppermint fudge (not always with peppermint- I've used just the vanilla or added nut flavors instead of mint a bunch of times) but in a different shaped pan, and then I use the fudge from here thats fat free or virtually so to adhere fondant- which is fat and dairy free, and royal icing for piped decor- also fat and dairy free... its wonderful knowing tricks of the trade.. the warning is I don't recommend EATING the royal- it dried into hardened candy like things, some people love the taste, to me its too sweet.. and unless the fondant is the marshmellow- some love it and some hate it.. but its not bad.. and even if the icing isn't eaten it makes the presentation so nice!
I look forward to meeting all of you at some point.. and if I wind up hosting us.. thats not a big deal.. its not like the new house will be perfectly furnished right away, but it will have adequate space to entertain!

I am all for meeting before!! We can meet at my house or meet at a mall or something!!! Amie what time do you normal get off work on the weekends?? I can't wait to meet ya all!!!!

I'd be happy to have a meet and great at my house but I think Heathers is more central for everyone. I have weekends off and the only weekend I have plans is for the weekend after Turkey day, we always go up north to visit Wills family and stay a few days. Otherwise, I'm free!! If anyone is interested, I could bring my jewelry I make if anyone is looking for a gift for someone. I use swarovski crystal and sterling silver.

I work till 5:30 except for Thurs and Fri.. so either after work on a weekend, or I can do something on a Fri night whatever time.. or just meet you guys later then you start on a weekend too.. either at Heathers or out somewhere... you all decide!

I need to check with my MIL which day she wanted to do holidays at her house first- it was one of those weekends... I think... but then we found out my SIL is moving the 13th so it may not happen until later anyway.
