Hi, friends!

Just wanted to stop by and give you the latest update on my battle against migraine disease. I have now made it TWO FULL WEEKS without an attack! That's the best I've done since September 18th.

I've learned some new tricks from my friends on the migraine board. For example, if I feel one coming on, I treat it as aggressively as I learned here to treat my IBS. I take an Aleve, as I mentioned last week, with an Imodium so I don't get D from it! And the ice gel pack on the back of my neck has worked fabulously. So far that has stopped everything that in the past would have developed into a full blown migraine attack.

So that's much better than the 11 out of 30 days that I lost to migraine attacks and postdrome before. In fact, I'm doing so well that one of the people on the migraine board kidded me that next I'll be telling them I found a cure!! Wouldn't that be nice, not only for migraine disease but also for IBS, fibromyalgia, thyroid disorders, diabetes, panic attacks, clinical depression and all the other crud we get!

Hope you're all doing okay. I'll check in again next weekend.

SMOOCHES!
Laura

It's weird you saying that about learning to treat them aggresively as I learn to do that from you! Until you talked about it, I'd never realised that I always wanted to pull the duvet right up under my chin when I had a migraine so my shoulders/neck were warm. Now I do the full works (painkiller, cold on top, warm on neck) when I can.

You are doing so well! Migraines are tough to live with, so this must be making a real difference to your life. And it is so inspiring to read your updates, I hope we can all do as well with our stuff too! Keep up the good work!
