Went to the doc today and they said the fever was from her being C. That makes no sense (this is the doc I don't like) She is congested and throwing up also. Fever and puke athon are over (crossing my fingers and knocking on wood) but she is still realy congested. She had a bm on Wed it was a big one to(tmi sorry). She hasn't gone since but that is not unullay for her. They said they could feel the stool stuck in right side. They did the x ray to rule out obstuction. She is feeling better today not great but better.
I just don't think a little C would cause all this. What do you guys think?? They want me to give her mineral oil 1 tsp twice a day. I am not sure what to do.

My niece is four and suffers with constipation for days...she has never had this kind of extreme reaction....I know every child is different..but I would definetely get a second opinion. It might just be a tummy bug / flu....but better to be safe then sorry. Its a good idea to give her the mineral oil to keep her regular (has she had D while having this sickness?)

I think it is just the nast flu we got goin around here right now. If she isn't better I will call and see my regular doc. Nope she hasn't had any D. She has had problems with C in the past!!

Heather,
When a bowel becomes obstucted, infection can set in and cause a fever. Bile backing up in Kenna's system can be causing the nausea.
Your doctor knows what he is talking about...listen to him.

I know I've had these reactions from being C.... not the congestion but the rest. Maybe she is C and also has a cold?

They said they didn't find an obstuction. They didn't give me any antibiotics. Just some decongestion meds. I am going to give her the mineral oil. I just don't want it to tear up her tummy like it does mine!! I can't take it for some reason. It makes my tummy burn and nauses.
