Hi, everybody!

As you know, I'm focusing on getting my migraines under control so I'm hanging out on the About.com migraine forum instead of here. I miss all of you, but I'm making GREAT progress!

That's terrific news LS. Isn't About.com wonderful? They have everything. We miss you too, but we also know that you need to take care of your health and anything that helps you get over the migraines, THAT'S what you should be doing!!

I haven't had a migraine in 8 whole days! Wow!! My last two were only three days apart so that's a big improvement. The even better news is I just made it through the first 4 days of my monthly cycle without a migraine! That hasn't happened in SIX MONTHS!! YAY!!!

I think there are 3 maybe 4 reasons. First, I'm paying much closer attention to the warning signs Good for you! and at the least little iffy feeling I'm immediately taking an Aleve (WITH IMODIUM as I learned here!!) and going to bed for 20 minutes with my ice pack on the back of my neck. That has helped tremendously. That ice trick really works, doesn't it. I tried it when I was having the severe head aches...with the thyroiditis...but I wouldn't have known about it if it hadn't been for you and Julie, and Linz and a few other fibro folks (thank you)!! (One more reason I'm thankful I'm no longer working -- that wouldn't be very easy to do in the office!!)

The other changes that are probably helping are an increase in my preventive, atenolol, cutting back on aspartame (which I should have been doing anyway for my IBS!), Shame, shame...what do you mean "cutting back" on the aspartame? LS....come on now, you're smarter than that...dump the stuff all together..PLEASE!!! and the improvement in my sleep disorder from my doc prescribing Xanax at bedtime (in addition to all the other things I already take).

So just wanted to let you all know how I'm doing and that I miss you. Hope you are all doing well, or as well as can be expected given what we all have to deal with!

SMOOCHES!!

The one and only, You bet, one and only...get over those migraines so you can come hang out here....we need you!!!

Take care of yourself....we miss you. You always have such great advise for everyone!!! Kandee

Yes, we will forgive you for "cheating" on us with your new support buddies. It's for a good reason. Glad to hear you are getting the migraines under control. That's the most important to feel better and whatever it takes, you need to do it. We miss ya so get them under control and come back real soon ya hear!

Good to hear from you, LS! I've been thinking about you. I'm glad to read you're scaling back the aspartame consumption. That stuff gives me migraines-- I've only had aspartame/nutrasweet 4 times in my life (3 times by accident!), and they were the 4 worst headaches I've ever had.

Here's to a long remission!!
